🎁PRE-PAGE:
This is the 19th Surah of the Qur’an. It has 98 verses. One of the important injunctions that clearly come through in this Surah is that God makes laws as He wills in the World of Command and implements them in the World of Creation i.e. the Universe. Then, He never changes them. The grand empire of human learning, development, invention, science and technology would have failed to come off ground if God’s physical laws in the Universe were to keep changing. Pregnancy and childbirth require the unison of the male and the female chromosomes. 🟫১৯:২(Zachariah)
ذِكْرُ رَحْمَتِ رَبِّكَ عَبْدَهُ زَكَرِيَّا
এইটো তোমাৰ প্ৰতিপালকৰ অনুগ্ৰহৰ বিৱৰণ তেওঁৰ বান্দা যাকাৰিয়্যাৰ প্ৰতি,

19:2 AN ACCOUNT of the grace which thy Sustainer bestowed upon His servant Zachariah:

Note.
Lit., "An account of thy Sustainer's grace upon. ..", etc. According to the account in the Gospels, not contradicted by the Qur'an, Zachariah's wife Elisabeth was a cousin of Mary, the mother of Jesus (Cf. Luke i, 36).

🟫১৯:৩
إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُ نِدَاءً خَفِيًّا
যেতিয়া তেওঁ নিজ প্ৰতিপালকক গোপনে আহ্বান কৰিছিল,

19:3 When he called out to his Lord in the secrecy of his heart. [3:37](sa).
(৩:৩৭
فَتَقَبَّلَهَا رَبُّهَا بِقَبُولٍ حَسَنٍ وَأَنْبَتَهَا نَبَاتًا حَسَنًا وَكَفَّلَهَا زَكَرِيَّا ۖ كُلَّمَا دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا زَكَرِيَّا الْمِحْرَابَ وَجَدَ عِنْدَهَا رِزْقًا ۖ قَالَ يَا مَرْيَمُ أَنَّىٰ لَكِ هَٰذَا ۖ قَالَتْ هُوَ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَرْزُقُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ
তাৰ পিছত তেওঁৰ প্ৰতিপালকে তেওঁক আগ্ৰহেৰে কবুল কৰিলে আৰু তেওঁক উত্তমৰূপে লালন-পালন কৰিলে আৰু যাকাৰিয়্যাৰ তত্ত্বাৱধানত ৰাখিলে। যেতিয়াই যাকাৰিয়্যাহ তেওঁৰ মেহৰাবত প্ৰৱেশ কৰিছিল, তেতিয়াই তেওঁৰ ওচৰত খাদ্য সামগ্ৰী দেখিবলৈ পাইছিল। তেওঁ কৈছিল, ‘হে মাৰইয়াম! এইবোৰ তুমি ক’ত পালা? তেওঁ (মাৰইয়ামে) কৈছিল, ‘এইবোৰ আল্লাহৰ তৰফৰ পৰা’। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহে যাক ইচ্ছা কৰে অপৰিমিত জীৱিকা দান কৰে।

🟫১৯:৪
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي وَهَنَ الْعَظْمُ مِنِّي وَاشْتَعَلَ الرَّأْسُ شَيْبًا وَلَمْ أَكُنْ بِدُعَائِكَ رَبِّ شَقِيًّا
তেওঁ কৈছিল, ‘হে মোৰ ৰব! মোৰ অস্থি দুৰ্বল হৈছে, বাৰ্ধক্যত মোৰ মূৰ শুভ্ৰোজ্জ্বল হৈছে; হে মোৰ ৰব! তোমাৰ ওচৰত দুআ কৰি মই কেতিয়াও ব্যৰ্থ হোৱা নাই।

🟫১৯:৫
وَإِنِّي خِفْتُ الْمَوَالِيَ مِنْ وَرَائِي وَكَانَتِ امْرَأَتِي عَاقِرًا فَهَبْ لِي مِنْ لَدُنْكَ وَلِيًّا
আৰু মই মোৰ পিছত মোৰ স্বগোত্ৰীয়সকলৰ বিষয়ে আশংকাবোধ কৰিছো; আৰু মোৰ স্ত্ৰীও হৈছে বন্ধ্যা। সেয়ে তুমি তোমাৰ ফালৰ পৰা মোক এজন উত্তৰাধিকাৰী দান কৰা,

وَزَكَرِيَّا إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُ رَبِّ لَا تَذَرْنِي فَرْدًا وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الْوَارِثِينَ
আৰু স্মৰণ কৰা যাকাৰিয়্যাক, যেতিয়া তেওঁ নিজ প্ৰতিপালকক আহ্বান কৰি কৈছিল, ‘হে মোৰ ৰব্ব! মোক অকলশৰীয়াকৈ (সন্তানহীন) নাৰাখিবা, তুমিয়েইতো শ্ৰেষ্ঠ উত্তৰাধিকাৰী’☘️।

৩:৩৮
هُنَالِكَ دَعَا زَكَرِيَّا رَبَّهُ ۖ قَالَ رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنْ لَدُنْكَ ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَةً ۖ إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ
সেই ঠাইতে যাকাৰিয়্যাই তেওঁৰ প্ৰতিপালকৰ ওচৰত প্ৰাৰ্থনা কৰি ক’লে, ‘হে মোৰ ৰব! তুমি মোক তোমাৰ ফালৰ পৰা উত্তম সন্তান প্ৰদান কৰা। নিশ্চয় তুমি প্ৰাৰ্থনা শ্ৰৱণকাৰী’।

[19:5] "I worry about my dependants after me and my wife is unable to have children. Grant me from You an heir.

Note:
A sterile person can be made fertile and now science has made this procedure available to many childless couples of all ages - all through the ordinance of God.(signet).

يَرِثُنِي وَيَرِثُ مِنْ آلِ يَعْقُوبَ ۖ وَاجْعَلْهُ رَبِّ رَضِيًّا
‘যিয়ে মোৰ উত্তৰাধিকাৰিত্ব কৰিব আৰু উত্তৰাধিকাৰিত্ব কৰিব ইয়াকূবৰ বংশৰ আৰু হে মোৰ ৰব! তাক তুমি সন্তোষভাজন কৰিবা’।

🟫১৯:৭
يَا زَكَرِيَّا إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَامٍ اسْمُهُ يَحْيَىٰ لَمْ نَجْعَلْ لَهُ مِنْ قَبْلُ سَمِيًّا
(আল্লাহে ক’লে,) ‘হে যাকাৰিয়্যা! নিশ্চয় আমি তোমাক এজন পুত্ৰ সন্তানৰ সুসংবাদ দিছোঁ, যাৰ নাম হ’ব ইয়াহয়া; এই নামেৰে আমি আগতে কাকো নামকৰণ কৰা নাছিলো’।

19:7 [Thereupon the angels called out unto him:* "O Zachariah! We bring thee the glad tiding of [the birth of] a son whose name shall be John. [And God says,] `Never have We given this name to anyone before him."**

(৩:৩৯
فَنَادَتْهُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ يُصَلِّي فِي الْمِحْرَابِ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يُبَشِّرُكَ بِيَحْيَىٰ مُصَدِّقًا بِكَلِمَةٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَسَيِّدًا وَحَصُورًا وَنَبِيًّا مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
তাৰ পিছত যেতিয়া যাকাৰিয়্যাই ইবাদত কক্ষত চালাতত থিয় হৈছিল, তেতিয়া ফিৰিস্তাসকলে তেওঁক আহ্বান কৰি ক’লে, ‘নিশ্চয় আল্লাহে আপোনাক ইয়াহইয়াৰ সুসংবাদ দিছে, তেওঁ হ’ব আল্লাহৰ তৰফৰ পৰা আগমনকৃত এটা কলিমাৰ সত্যায়নকাৰী, নেতা, ভোগ আসক্তিমুক্ত আৰু পূণ্যৱানসকলৰ অন্তৰ্ভুক্ত এজন নবী’।)

Note**
Lit., "Never before have We made a namesake for him". The name Yahya (John) signifies "he shall live", i.e., he will be spiritually alive and will be remembered forever; and the fact that God Himself had chosen this name for him was a singular distinction, equivalent to a divine promise (kalimah, cf. note on 3:39).

19:7. (We heard his prayers and said) O Zachariah, We give you the good news of
a son. When he is born he should be named Yahya (John). This boy will be very
outstanding; and there has been none like him before (in your clan). (19:65)(pz).
(১৯:৬৫
رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فَاعْبُدْهُ وَاصْطَبِرْ لِعِبَادَتِهِ ۚ هَلْ تَعْلَمُ لَهُ سَمِيًّا
তেৱেঁই আকাশসমূহ, পৃথিৱী আৰু এই দুয়োৰে মাজত যি আছে সেই সকলোৰে ৰব। সেয়ে কেৱল তেওঁৰেই ইবাদত কৰক আৰু তেওঁৰ ইবাদতত ধৈৰ্য ধাৰণ কৰক। আপুনি তেওঁৰ সম নাম-গুণ সম্পন্ন কাৰোবাক জানেনে?).

🟫১৯:৮
قَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِي غُلَامٌ وَكَانَتِ امْرَأَتِي عَاقِرًا وَقَدْ بَلَغْتُ مِنَ الْكِبَرِ عِتِيًّا
তেওঁ ক’লে, ‘হে মোৰ ৰব! কেনেকৈ মোৰ পুত্ৰ সন্তান হ’ব, অথচ মোৰ স্ত্ৰী বন্ধ্যা আৰু মই বাৰ্ধক্যৰ শেষ সীমাত উপনীত হৈছোঁ’!

19:8. Zachariah (was extremely happy on receiving the good news, but when he
thought of the physical handicap, for his personal satisfaction1 he sought further
clarification and) said, "O my Rabb. How can I have a child when my wife has
always been barren and I have become utterly infirm through old age. (Will that child
be born to my own family or will I adopt someone else's son, like Mary who is being
brought up by me ~ 3:39.(pz).

🟫১৯:৯
قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ قَالَ رَبُّكَ هُوَ عَلَيَّ هَيِّنٌ وَقَدْ خَلَقْتُكَ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَلَمْ تَكُ شَيْئًا
(উত্তৰত) ক’লে, ‘এইদৰেই হ’ব’। তোমাৰ প্ৰতিপালকে কৈছে, ‘এইটো মোৰ বাবে সহজ; ইয়াৰ পূৰ্বে মই তোমাকো সৃষ্টি কৰিছো যেতিয়া তুমি একোৱেই নাছিলা’।

19:9 He said: Thus it is. Your Lord says, “It is easy for Me. I created you before, and you were nothing."

(তেওঁৰ পত্নীৰ বন্ধ্যাত্বৰ চিকিৎসা কৰা হৈছিল।)
(২১:৯০
فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ يَحْيَىٰ وَأَصْلَحْنَا لَهُ زَوْجَهُ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ وَيَدْعُونَنَا رَغَبًا وَرَهَبًا ۖ وَكَانُوا لَنَا خَاشِعِينَ
ফলত আমি তেওঁৰ আহ্বানত সঁহাৰি দিছিলো আৰু তেওঁক দান কৰিছিলো ইয়াহইয়া, আৰু তেওঁৰ বাবে তেওঁৰ স্ত্ৰীক (গৰ্ভধাৰণৰ) যোগ্য কৰিছিলো। তেওঁলোকে সৎকৰ্মত প্ৰতিযোগিতা কৰিছিল, লগতে তেওঁলোকে আমাক আগ্ৰহ আৰু ভীতিৰ সৈতে আহ্বান কৰিছিল আৰু তেওঁলোক আমাৰ প্ৰতি বিনীত আছিল।)

🟫১৯:১০
قَالَ رَبِّ اجْعَلْ لِي آيَةً ۚ قَالَ آيَتُكَ أَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ النَّاسَ ثَلَاثَ لَيَالٍ سَوِيًّا
যাকাৰিয়্যাই ক’লে, ‘হে মোৰ ৰব! মোক এটা নিদৰ্শন দিয়া’। তেওঁ ক’লে, ‘তোমাৰ নিদৰ্শন এইটোৱে যে, তুমি সুস্থ থকা সত্বেও তিনিদিন কাৰো লগত কথা নকবা’।

19:10 Zacharias said, “My Lord! Give me a special message.” He said, “The message is that you shall not speak to people for three (days and) nights consecutively.”

(৩:৪০
قَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِي غُلَامٌ وَقَدْ بَلَغَنِيَ الْكِبَرُ وَامْرَأَتِي عَاقِرٌ ۖ قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ اللَّهُ يَفْعَلُ مَا يَشَاءُ
তেওঁ ক’লে, ‘হে মোৰ ৰব! মোৰ সন্তান কেনেকৈ হ’ব? অথচ মোৰ বাৰ্ধক্য আহি পৰিছে আৰু মোৰ স্ত্ৰীও বন্ধ্যা’। তেওঁ (আল্লাহে) ক’লে, ‘এইদৰেই’। আল্লাহে যিটো ইচ্ছা সেইটোৱে কৰে।
৩:৪১
قَالَ رَبِّ اجْعَلْ لِي آيَةً ۖ قَالَ آيَتُكَ أَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ النَّاسَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ إِلَّا رَمْزًا ۗ وَاذْكُرْ رَبَّكَ كَثِيرًا وَسَبِّحْ بِالْعَشِيِّ وَالْإِبْكَارِ
তেওঁ ক’লে, ‘হে মোৰ ৰব! মোক এটা নিদৰ্শন দিয়া’। তেওঁ ক’লে, ‘তোমাৰ নিদৰ্শন এইটো যে, তিনিদিন লৈকে তুমি আকাৰ-ইঙ্গিতৰ বাহিৰে মানুহৰ লগত কথা ক’ব নোৱাৰিবা। এতেকে তোমাৰ প্ৰতিপালকক অধিক স্মৰণ কৰা আৰু পুৱা-গধূলি তেওঁৰ পৱিত্ৰতা-মহিমা ঘোষণা কৰা’।

১৯:২৬
فَكُلِي وَاشْرَبِي وَقَرِّي عَيْنًا ۖ فَإِمَّا تَرَيِنَّ مِنَ الْبَشَرِ أَحَدًا فَقُولِي إِنِّي نَذَرْتُ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ صَوْمًا فَلَنْ أُكَلِّمَ الْيَوْمَ إِنْسِيًّا
এতেকে খোৱা, পান কৰা আৰু চকু জুৰ পেলোৱা। যদি কোনো মানুহৰ লগত তোমাৰ দেখা হয় তেন্তে ক’বা, ‘মই ৰহমানৰ উদ্দেশ্যে মৌনতা অৱলম্বনৰ মানত কৰিছো। সেয়ে মই আজি কাৰো লগত কথা নকওঁ’।)

19:10. Zachariah said, "O my Rabb! Let me know if there is any particular directive
in this regard.” Allah said that the only directive is that you will fast continuously for three (days and) nights (3:40). And (as is the custom) you will not converse with
people (19:26).pz.

🟫১৯:১১
فَخَرَجَ عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ مِنَ الْمِحْرَابِ فَأَوْحَىٰ إِلَيْهِمْ أَنْ سَبِّحُوا بُكْرَةً وَعَشِيًّا
তাৰ পিছত তেওঁ (ইবাদতৰ বাবে নিৰ্দিষ্ট) কক্ষৰ পৰা ওলাই তেওঁৰ সম্প্ৰদায়ৰ ওচৰত আহিল আৰু ইঙ্গিতেৰে সিহঁতক পুৱা-গধূলি আল্লাহৰ পৱিত্ৰতা আৰু মহিমা ঘোষণা কৰিবলৈ ক’লে।

(৩৩:৪২
وَسَبِّحُوهُ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا
আৰু পুৱা-গধূলি তেওঁৰ পৱিত্ৰতা আৰু মহিমা ঘোষণা কৰা।)

📍Verse/Note:
19:11. Thereafter, he came out of the mehrab and signalled to his people (who had gathered in the temple awaiting his instructions) not to wait, but to continue
performing their normal duties, day and night.
This is just like Abraham, who despite his firm conviction, had raised such a question for his own satisfaction.(pz).

🟫১৯:১২
يَا يَحْيَىٰ خُذِ الْكِتَابَ بِقُوَّةٍ ۖ وَآتَيْنَاهُ الْحُكْمَ صَبِيًّا
‘হে ইয়াহয়া! তুমি কিতাবখন দৃঢ়তাৰ সৈতে গ্ৰহণ কৰাঁ’। আৰু আমি তেওঁক শৈশৱতেই প্ৰজ্ঞা দান কৰিছিলোঁ,
.

19:12-John (Yahya) was born according to the good news) We told him “O Yahya! Hold fast to the scripture.” And We had granted him wisdom and good judgment when he was yet a little boy(sa).

🟫১৯:১৩
وَحَنَانًا مِنْ لَدُنَّا وَزَكَاةً ۖ وَكَانَ *تَقِيًّا
আৰু আমাৰ ফালৰ পৰা তেওঁক হৃদয়ৰ কোমলতা আৰু পৱিত্ৰতা দান কৰিছো; আৰু তেওঁ আছিল মুত্তাক্বী*।

وَبَرًّا بِوَالِدَيْهِ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ جَبَّارًا عَصِيًّا
আৰু তেওঁ আছিল পিতৃ-মাতৃৰ প্ৰতি অনুগত আৰু তেওঁ অহংকাৰী, অবাধ্য নাছিল।

وَسَلَامٌ عَلَيْهِ يَوْمَ وُلِدَ وَيَوْمَ يَمُوتُ وَيَوْمَ يُبْعَثُ حَيًّا
আৰু তেওঁৰ প্ৰতি শান্তি যিদিনা তেওঁ জন্ম লাভ কৰিছে, যিদিনা তেওঁ মৃত্যুবৰণ কৰিব আৰু যিদিনা তেওঁ জীৱিত অৱস্থাত উত্থিত হ’ব।

وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيَّ يَوْمَ وُلِدْتُ وَيَوْمَ أَمُوتُ وَيَوْمَ أُبْعَثُ حَيًّا
‘আৰু মোৰ প্ৰতি শান্তি যিদিনা মই জন্ম লাভ কৰিছো, যিদিনা মোৰ মৃত্যু হ’ব আৰু যিদিনা মই জীৱিত অৱস্থাত উত্থিত হম’।

In the name of GOD (Bis'mi-llahi), the GRACIOUS (Er' Rah'maani), the MERCIFUL (Er' Rahiim).
[19:1] K (Kaaf), H (Ha), Y (Yi), E (Åeen), S (Soad);
[19:2] Mention (Zik'ru) the mercy (Rah'mati) of your LORD (s) (Rabbi-ka) to HIS servant (Åb'da-hu) Zechariah (Zakariyya),
[19:3] when (Iz') he called (Naadaa) his LORD (Rabba-hu) a secret (Khafiyyaa) call (Nidaa'an).
[19:4] He (Zechariah) said (Qaala), "LORD (Rabbi), indeed my (Innii Minnii) bones (El'Åz'mu) have become weak (Wahana), and (Wa) gray (Shai'baan) has flared up (Esh'ta'åla) my head (Er'Ra'su), and (Wa) I have never (Lam') been (Akun) unhappy (Shaqiyyaa) in (Bi) invoking YOU (Duååi-ka), LORD (Rabbi).
[19:5] "Indeed, I (Innii) fear (Khif'tu) for my heirs (El'Mawaaliya) beyond me (Min Waraai), and (Wa) my wife (Em'ra'atii) is (Kaanati) barren (Ååqiran), so (Fa) grant me (Hab'lii) an heir (Waliyyaa) from YOU
(Min Ladun-ka),
[19:6] to inherit me (Yarithunii) and (Wa) inherit (Yarithu) from (Min') the family (Aali) of Jacob (Ya'quub), and (Wa) LORD (Rabbi) make him (Ej'ål'hu) acceptable (Radiyyaa)."

[19:10] He (Zechariah) said (Qaala), "LORD (Rabbi), grant me (Ej'ål Lii) a sign (Aaya')." He (the Spirit) said (Qaala), "Your sign (Aayatu-ka) is that you shall not (Alla) speak (Tukallima) to the people (En'Naasa)
for three (Thalaatha) straight (Sawiyyaa) nights (Layaalin)."
[19:11] So (Fa) he (Zechariah) came out to (Kharaja Ålaa) his kindred (Qaw'mi-hi) out of (Mina) the sanctum (El'Mih'raabi) and (Fa) suggested (Aw'haa) to them (ilai'him) to (An) glorify (Sabbihu') early in the morning
(Buk'ratan) and (Wa) evening (Åshiyyaa).

[19:14] And (Wa) he was nice to (Barraa) his parents (Waalidai'hi), and (Wa) he was (Yakun) not (Lam') tough (Jabbaaran) and rebellious (Åsiyyaa).
[19:15] And (Wa) peace (Salaamun) be upon him (Ålai'hi) the day (Yaw'ma) he (John) was born (Wulida), the day (Yaw'ma) he will die (Yamuutu), and the day (Yaw'ma) he will be resurrected(Yub'åthu)alive(19:33)(Hayyan).
