২১:৬৯(আল্লাহে ক’লে, ‘হে জুই! তুমি ইব্ৰাহীমৰ বাবে শীতল আৰু নিৰাপদ হৈ যোৱা’।)

۞ وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ رُشْدَهُ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَكُنَّا بِهِ عَالِمِينَ

আৰু আমি ইয়াৰ আগতে ইব্ৰাহীমক শুভবুদ্ধি আৰু সঠিক জ্ঞান দান কৰিছিলো আৰু আমি তেওঁৰ বিষয়ে আছিলো সম্যক পৰিজ্ঞাত।

21:51 AND, INDEED, long before [the time of Moses] We vouchsafed unto Abraham his consciousness of what is right;* and We were aware of [what moved] him

Note*

The possessive pronoun "his'' affixed to the noun rushd (which, in this context, has the meaning of "consciousness of what is right'') emphasizes the highly personal, intellectual quality of Abraham's progressive realization of God's almightiness and uniqueness (cf. 6:74 as well as note 69 on 6:83); while the expression min qabl - mean as "long before [the time of Moses]" - stresses, once again, the element of continuity in man's religious insight and experience.(as).

(৬:৭৪

۞ وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ لِأَبِيهِ آزَرَ أَتَتَّخِذُ أَصْنَامًا آلِهَةً ۖ إِنِّي أَرَاكَ وَقَوْمَكَ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُبِينٍ

আৰু স্মৰণ কৰা, যেতিয়া ইব্ৰাহীমে তেওঁৰ পিতা আযৰক কৈছিল, ‘আপুনি মূৰ্তিক ইলাহৰূপে গ্ৰহণ কৰে নেকি? মই আপোনাক আৰু আপোনাৰ সম্প্ৰদায়ক স্পষ্ট ভ্ৰষ্টতাৰ মাজত দেখি আছো’।

৬:৮৩

وَتِلْكَ حُجَّتُنَا آتَيْنَاهَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ ۚ نَرْفَعُ دَرَجَاتٍ مَنْ نَشَاءُ ۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌ

আৰু এইটোৱেই আমাৰ যুক্তি-প্ৰমাণ যিটো ইব্ৰাহীমক দিছিলো তাৰ জাতিৰ লগত মোকাবিলা কৰিবলৈ, আমি যাক ইচ্ছা কৰো উচ্চ মৰ্যাদা দান কৰো। নিশ্চয় তোমাৰ ৰব প্ৰজ্ঞাময়, সৰ্বজ্ঞ।)

🎀২১:৫২

إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ مَا هَٰذِهِ التَّمَاثِيلُ الَّتِي أَنْتُمْ لَهَا عَاكِفُونَ

যেতিয়া তেওঁ তেওঁৰ পিতৃক আৰু নিজ সম্প্ৰদায়ক ক’লে, ‘এই মূৰ্তিবোৰ কি, যিবোৰৰ পূজাত তোমালোক আসক্ত হৈছা!’

قَالُوا وَجَدْنَا آبَاءَنَا لَهَا عَابِدِينَ

সিহঁতে ক’লে, ‘আমি আমাৰ পিতৃ-পুৰুষসকলক এইবোৰৰ ইবাদত কৰা দেখিছো’।

قَالَ لَقَدْ كُنْتُمْ أَنْتُمْ وَآبَاؤُكُمْ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُبِينٍ

তেওঁ ক’লে, ‘অৱশ্যে তোমালোক আৰু তোমালোকৰ পিতৃ-পুৰুষসকল আটায়ে স্পষ্ট বিভ্ৰান্তিত আছা’।

🎀২১:৫৫

قَالُوا أَجِئْتَنَا بِالْحَقِّ أَمْ أَنْتَ مِنَ اللَّاعِبِينَ

সিহঁতে ক’লে, ‘তুমি আমাৰ ওচৰত সত্য লৈ আহিছা নেকি, নে তুমি আমাৰ লগত ধেমালি কৰিছা?

🎀২১:৫৬

قَالَ بَلْ رَبُّكُمْ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ الَّذِي فَطَرَهُنَّ وَأَنَا عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكُمْ مِنَ الشَّاهِدِينَ

তেওঁ ক’লে, ‘বৰং তোমালোকৰ ৰব সেইজনেই যিজন আকাশসমূহ আৰু পৃথিৱীৰ ৰব, যিয়ে এইবোৰ সৃষ্টি কৰিছে, আৰু এই বিষয়ে মই অন্যতম সাক্ষী’।

21:56 He said, "No, your lord is the Lord of heavens and earth, the One who initiated them. I bear witness to such."

قَالَ هِيَ رَاوَدَتْنِي عَنْ نَفْسِي ۚ وَشَهِدَ شَاهِدٌ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا إِنْ كَانَ قَمِيصُهُ قُدَّ مِنْ قُبُلٍ فَصَدَقَتْ وَهُوَ مِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ

ইউছুফে ক’লে, ‘এওঁহে মোক কুপ্ৰৰোচনা দিছে’। মহিলাগৰাকীৰ পৰিয়ালৰ এজন সাক্ষীয়ে সাক্ষ্য দিলে যে, ‘যদি তেওঁৰ চোলাটো সন্মুখৰ পৰা ফলা হৈছে তেন্তে মহিলাগৰাকীয়ে সত্য কথা কৈছে আৰু পুৰুষজন (ইউছুফ) মিছলীয়াসকলৰ অন্তৰ্ভুক্ত’।)

🎀২১:৫৭

وَتَاللَّهِ لَأَكِيدَنَّ أَصْنَامَكُمْ بَعْدَ أَنْ تُوَلُّوا مُدْبِرِينَ

‘আৰু আল্লাহৰ শপত! তোমালোক গুচি যোৱাৰ পিছত মই তোমালোকৰ মূৰ্তিবোৰৰ বিষয়ে অৱশ্যে কৌশল অৱলম্বন কৰিম’।

(টোকা: তোমালোক দেখিবাযে তোমালোক যিসকলক তোমালোকক পহৰা দিয়ে বুলি বিশ্বাস কৰে তেওঁলোকে আনকি নিজকে পহৰা দিব পাৰে নেকি?)

فَجَعَلَهُمْ جُذَاذًا إِلَّا كَبِيرًا لَهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِ يَرْجِعُونَ

তাৰ পিছত তেওঁ মূৰ্তিসমূহ চূৰ্ণ-বিচূৰ্ণ কৰি দিলে কেৱল ডাঙৰ মূৰ্তিটোৰ বাহিৰে; যাতে সিহঁতে তাৰ ওচৰলৈ উভতি যায়।

🎀২১:৫৯

قَالُوا مَنْ فَعَلَ هَٰذَا بِآلِهَتِنَا إِنَّهُ لَمِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ

সিহঁতে ক’লে, ‘আমাৰ উপাস্যবোৰৰ সৈতে কোনে এই কাম কৰিছে? সি নিশ্চয় অন্যতম যালিম’।

قَالُوا سَمِعْنَا فَتًى يَذْكُرُهُمْ يُقَالُ لَهُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ

কিছুমানে ক’লে, ‘আমি এজন যুৱকক এইবোৰৰ সমালোচনা কৰা শুনিছোঁ; যাক ইব্ৰাহীম বুলি কোৱা হয়’।

🎀২১:৬১

قَالُوا فَأْتُوا بِهِ عَلَىٰ أَعْيُنِ النَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَشْهَدُونَ

সিহঁতে ক’লে, ‘তেনেহ’লে তাক জন-সন্মুখত উপস্থিত কৰা, যাতে সিহঁত সাক্ষী হয়’।

🎀২১:৬২

قَالُوا أَأَنْتَ فَعَلْتَ هَٰذَا بِآلِهَتِنَا يَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ

সিহঁতে ক’লে, ‘হে ইব্ৰাহীম! তুমিয়ে আমাৰ উপাস্যবোৰৰ সৈতে এই কাম কৰিছা নেকি’?

✍️Verse/Note:

21:62. (Abraham was called and people identified him as the same person who used to talk against the idols. The priests 

then took the position of the court, as otherwise their failure to protect these idols was a very serious allegation on them.) 

They told Abraham, "The allegation against you is that you have done this to our gods. Now what do you have to say in 

your defense?”pz.

قَالَ بَلْ فَعَلَهُ كَبِيرُهُمْ هَٰذَا فَاسْأَلُوهُمْ إِنْ كَانُوا يَنْطِقُونَ

তেওঁ ক’লে, ‘বৰং ইহঁতৰ এই প্ৰধানজনেই কিজানি এই কাম কৰিছে, এতেকে এইবোৰক সুধি চোৱা, যদি ইহঁতে কথা ক’ব পাৰে’।

✍️Verse/Note:

21:63. (For Abraham the time had come to achieve the purpose for which he had done all this. If he had given a simple 

reply like: "Why are you behaving so innocently in asking me all this. Had I not forewarned you how I was going to deal with 

your deities?” This would surely have aroused people's feelings and the truth would not have manifested itself.) 

Abraham said, "This may be looked into later[🔺]; but for the present just reflect over it. You believe that your deities possess lots of powers to fulfill the wishes of their followers and destroy their enemies. In your opinion the powers of 

the biggest one are unlimited. Now all this has happened in his presence. Why did he not stop the one who has done this 

by employing his might and saving all the other deities from destruction?" On hearing this reply there was complete silence. Then Abraham addressed the priests and said: “You used to tell people 

that these deities have the knowledge of the unseen and know everything. Whenever someone comes to ask you 

about anything, you assure him that you would reply after asking the deities. Then you come back with a reply pretending 

that the deities had said so. 

 Now if you are true in your assertion why don't you ask them directly instead of asking me about who had done 

this mischief unto them?" (37:88-98)pz.

(🔺Another import of this can be that the priests might have said, “We know that it is a doing of your party but we want to ascertain whether you 

yourself have done it or any other member of your group.” In answer to which Abraham could have said, “No not anybody else, but the biggest of 

them standing right before you has personally done it.” But to us the manner of response brought forth in the context is closer to Abraham’s mature 

approach mentioned in 21:51)

فَرَجَعُوا إِلَىٰ أَنْفُسِهِمْ فَقَالُوا إِنَّكُمْ أَنْتُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ

তেতিয়া সিহঁতে নিজেই পুনৰ বিবেচনা কৰি দেখিলে আৰু ইজনে সিজনক ক’লে, ‘নিশ্চয় তোমালোকেই আচল অন্যায়কাৰী’।

21:64 And so they turned upon one another,* saying, “Behold, it is you who are doing wrong."**

Lit., "they turned to [or "upon"] themselves", i.e., blaming one another.

Note**

I.e., "you are doing wrong to Abraham by rashly suspecting him'' (as).

ثُمَّ نُكِسُوا عَلَىٰ رُءُوسِهِمْ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا هَٰؤُلَاءِ يَنْطِقُونَ

তাৰ পিছত সিহঁতৰ শিৰ নত হ’ল, আৰু ক’লে, ‘তুমি দেখোন জানাই যে, ইহঁতে কথা ক'ব নোৱাৰে’।

২১:৫২

إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ مَا هَٰذِهِ التَّمَاثِيلُ الَّتِي أَنْتُمْ لَهَا عَاكِفُونَ

যেতিয়া তেওঁ তেওঁৰ পিতৃক আৰু নিজ সম্প্ৰদায়ক ক’লে, ‘এই মূৰ্তিবোৰ কি, যিবোৰৰ পূজাত তোমালোক আসক্ত হৈছা!’

قَالَ أَفَتَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنْفَعُكُمْ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَضُرُّكُمْ

তেওঁ ক’লে, ‘তেনেহ’লে তোমালোকে আল্লাহৰ পৰিবৰ্তে এনে বস্তুৰ ইবাদত কৰা নেকি যিটোৱে তোমালোকৰ কোনো উপকাৰ কৰিব নোৱাৰে আৰু অপকাৰো কৰিব নোৱাৰে?

🎀২১:৬৭

أُفٍّ لَكُمْ وَلِمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ ۖ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ

‘ধিক তোমালোকৰ প্ৰতি আৰু আল্লাহৰ পৰিবৰ্তে তোমালোকে যিবোৰৰ ইবাদত কৰা সেইবোৰৰ প্ৰতি! তথাপিও তোমালোকে নুবুজানে’?

🎀২১:৬৮(Profound Miracle-গভীৰ অলৌকিকতা).

قَالُوا حَرِّقُوهُ وَانْصُرُوا آلِهَتَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ فَاعِلِينَ

সিহঁতে ক’লে, ‘যদি তোমালোকে কিবা কৰিব বিচৰা তেন্তে ইয়াক জুইত পুৰি মাৰি পেলোৱা আৰু তোমালোকৰ উপাস্যবোৰক সহায় কৰা’।

قُلْنَا يَا نَارُ كُونِي بَرْدًا وَسَلَامًا عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ

আমি ক’লো, ‘হে জুই! তুমি ইব্ৰাহীমৰ বাবে শীতল আৰু নিৰাপদ হৈ যোৱা’।

🎀২১:৭০

وَأَرَادُوا بِهِ كَيْدًا فَجَعَلْنَاهُمُ الْأَخْسَرِينَ

আৰু সিহঁতে তেওঁৰ ক্ষতি সাধন কৰাৰ ইচ্ছা কৰিছিল। কিন্তু আমি সিহঁতকেই অধিক ক্ষতিগ্ৰস্ত কৰি দিলোঁ।

21:70. We rendered ineffective the strategy they had planned against Abraham; and thus they were unsuccessful in their 

plan (29:24; 37:98).pz.

🎀২১:৭১(Lot, Isaac, and Jacob).

وَنَجَّيْنَاهُ وَلُوطًا إِلَى الْأَرْضِ الَّتِي بَارَكْنَا فِيهَا لِلْعَالَمِينَ

আৰু আমি তেওঁক আৰু লূতক উদ্ধাৰ কৰি লৈ গ’লো সেই দেশত, য’ত সৃষ্টি জগতৰ বাবে আমি কল্যাণ ৰাখিছো।

21:71. We saved Abraham and Lot (his companion) from the nefarious designs of these people and guided them towards 

the land which We had made blissful and peaceful for all humanity (29:24; 37:98). (Thus by migrating from one place 

to another, the Rusul of Allah kept themselves safe from the evil and harmful planning of their enemies)pz.

(২৯:২৪

فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِ إِلَّا أَنْ قَالُوا اقْتُلُوهُ أَوْ حَرِّقُوهُ فَأَنْجَاهُ اللَّهُ مِنَ النَّارِ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ

উত্তৰত ইব্ৰাহীমৰ সম্প্ৰদায়ে কেৱল এই কথাষাৰকে ক'লে, ইয়াক হত্যা কৰা অথবা জুইত জ্বলাই দিয়া। তাৰ পিছত আল্লাহে তেওঁক জুইৰ পৰা ৰক্ষা কৰিলে। নিশ্চয় ইয়াত আছে বহুতো নিদৰ্শন, এনে সম্প্ৰদায়ৰ বাবে যিসকলে ঈমান পোষণ কৰে।

৩৭:৯৮

فَأَرَادُوا بِهِ كَيْدًا فَجَعَلْنَاهُمُ الْأَسْفَلِينَ

এইদৰেই সিহঁতে তেওঁৰ বিৰুদ্ধে চক্ৰান্তৰ সংকল্প কৰিছিল; কিন্তু আমি সিহঁতক সম্পূৰ্ণৰূপে পৰাভূত কৰি দিলো।)

وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ إِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ نَافِلَةً ۖ وَكُلًّا جَعَلْنَا صَالِحِينَ

আৰু আমি তেওঁক (ইব্ৰাহীমক) দান কৰিছিলোঁ ইছহাক্বক, লগতে অতিৰিক্ত পুৰস্কাৰস্বৰূপে দান কৰিছিলোঁ ইয়াকূবক; আৰু প্ৰত্যেককে কৰিছিলোঁ সৎকৰ্মপৰায়ণ।

21:72 And We bestowed upon him Isaac and [Isaacs son] Jacob as an additional gift67 and caused all of them to be righteous men,

I.e., in addition (nafilatan) to his eldest son Ishmael (Isma'il) who had been born years before Isaac.(as).

🌗WORD BY WORD MEANING:

[21:51] And (Wa) We certainly (Laqad') gave (Aatai'naa) Abraham (Ib'raahiima) his maturity (Rush'da-hu)

before (Min Qab'lu), for (Wa) We were (Kunnaa) aware of him (Åålimiin Bi-hi). 

[21:52] When (Iz') he said to (Qaala Li) his father (Abii-hi) and (Wa) his people (Qaw'mi-hi), "What (Maa)

are these (Haazihi) statues (Ettamaathiilu) to (Lahaa) which (Ellatii) you (Antum') are devoted (Ååkifuun)?"

[21:53] They said (Qaalu'), "We found (Wajad'naa) our fathers (Aabaa'a-naa) worshipping them (Ååbidiin

La-haa)."

[21:54] He (Abraham) said (Qaala), "Certainly (Laqad), you (Antum') and (Wa) your fathers (Aabaa'u-kum') have 

been (Kuntum') in (Fii) clear (Mubiin) error (Dolaalin)."

[21:55] They said (Qaaluu'), "Have you brought us (Aji'ta-naa Bi) the truth (El'Haqqi) or (Am') are you (Anta)

of (Mina) the jesters (Ellaa'ebiin)?"

[21:56] He (Abraham) said (Qaala), "Your Lord (Rabbu-kum') is the LORD (Rabbu) of the heavens 

(Es'Samaawaati) and the earth (Wal' Ar'di) who (Ellazii) originated them (Fatora-hunna), and (Wa) I am 

(Ana') of (Mina) those who testify (Es'Shaahidiin) to (Ålaa) that (Zaalikum).

[21:57] "And (Wa) by GOD (Tallahi), I will (La) ambuscade (Akiidanna) your idols (As'naama-kum) after 

(Ba'da An) you have turned away (Tuwallu') retreating (Mud'biriin)."

[21:58] So (Fa) he (Abraham) made them (Jaåla-hum')

into shreds (Juzaazan), except (illa) a large one (Kabiira)

for them (Lahum'), that they (Laållahum') may return (Yar'jiuun) to it (ilai'hi).

[21:59] They said (Qaalu'), "Whoever (Man) did (Faåla) this (Haaza) to (Bi) our gods (Aalihati-naa) is indeed 

(Innahu) of (Lamina) the transgressors (Ez'Zoalimiin)." 

[21:60] They said (Qaalu'), "We heard (Sami'naa) a young man (Fatan) mention them (Yaz'kuru-hum') who 

is called (Yuqaalu La-hu) Abraham (Ib'raahiim)."

[21:61] They said (Qaalu'), "So bring him (Fa'tu' Bi-hi) before (Ålaa) the eyes (A'yuni) of the people 

(En'Naasi), so that they (Laållahum') may bear witness (Yash'haduun)."

said (Qaaluu'), "Did you (A'anta) do (Faål'ta) this (Haaza) to (Bi) our gods (Aalihati-naa), O (Yaa) Abraham (Ib'raahiim)?"

[21:63] He (Abraham) said (Qaala), "In fact (Bal'), this (Haaza) big one of them (Kabiiru-hum') did it (Faåla-hu), 

so ask them (Fa'saluu-hum'), if (In) they can (Kaanu') speak (Yantiquun)."

[21:64] So (Fa) they came back (Rajauu') to (ilaa) their minds (Anfusi-him') and (Fa) said (Qaaluu'), "Indeed 

(Innakum'), you (p) (Antumu) are the transgressors (Ez'Zoalimuun)." 

[21:65] Then (Thumma) they reversed (Nukisu') to (Ålaa) their heads (Ru'uusi-him'), "You certainly (Laqad')

know (Ålim'ta) these (21:52) (Haaulaai) do not (Maa) speak (Yantiquun)." 

[21:66] He (Abraham) said (Qaala), "Do you then (Afa-) worship (-ta'buduuna) other than GOD (Min Duuni-

llahi) what (Maa) does not (Laa) benefit you (Yanfau-kum') at all (Shai'an) nor (Walaa) harm you (Yadurru-

kum')? 

[21:67] "Ugh (Uffin) to you (Lakum') and (Wa) to what (Limaa) you worship (Ta'buduuna) besides GOD 

(Min Duuni-llahi)! Will you then not (Afalaa) reason (Ta'qiluun)?" 

[21:68] They (p)

said (Qaalu'), "Burn him (Harriquu-hu) and (Wa) support (Ensuruu') your gods (Aalihaata-

kum'), if (In) you would (Kuntum') react (Faa'eliin)."

[21:69] We said (Qul'naa), "O (Yaa) fire (Naaru), be (Kuunii) cool (Bar'dan) and (Wa) safe (Salaaman) for 

(Ålaa) Abraham (Ib'raahiim)."

[21:70] Thus (Wa) they designed (Araadu') a scheme (Kai'dan) against him (Bihi), but (Fa) We made them 

(Jaål'naa-humu) the worst losers (El'Akh'sariin). 

[21:71] And (Wa) We rescued him (Najjai'naa-hu) and (Wa) Lot (Luutoan) to (ilaa) the land (El'Ar'di) which 

(Ellatii) We had blessed (Baarak'naa) therein (Fiihaa) for the worlds (Lil' Åålamiin). 

[21:72] And (Wa) We granted him (Wahab'naa La-hu) Isaac (Is'haaqa), as well as (Wa) Jacob (Grandson)

(Ya'quuba) as extra (superfluous) (Naafilatan), and (Wa) We made (Jaål'naa) both (Kullan) righteous (Soalihiin).
