18:13(সেই ঈমান আনিছিল আৰু আমি সিহঁতৰ হিদায়ত বৃদ্ধি কৰি দিছিলো)

18:14(যেতিয়া (সাৰ পাই) উঠি ক’লে, ‘আমাৰ প্ৰতিপালকেই আকাশসমূহ আৰু পৃথিৱীৰ প্ৰতিপালক।)

🟩১৮:১৩

نَحْنُ نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ نَبَأَهُمْ بِالْحَقِّ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ فِتْيَةٌ آمَنُوا بِرَبِّهِمْ وَزِدْنَاهُمْ هُدًى

আমি তোমাৰ ওচৰত সিহঁতৰ বৃত্তান্ত সঠিকভাৱে বৰ্ণনা কৰিছো, সিহঁত আছিল কেইজনমান যুৱক, সিহঁতে নিজ প্ৰতিপালকৰ ওপৰত ঈমান আনিছিল আৰু আমি সিহঁতৰ হিদায়ত বৃদ্ধি কৰি দিছিলো,

🥀Verse:

18:13 And now (contrary to hearsay) We shall relate to you (O Prophet) their true history. Indeed, they were young men who truly believed in their Lord and We increased them in guidance(sa).

🟩১৮:১৪

وَرَبَطْنَا عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ إِذْ قَامُوا فَقَالُوا رَبُّنَا رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ لَنْ نَدْعُوَ مِنْ دُونِهِ إِلَٰهًا ۖ لَقَدْ قُلْنَا إِذًا شَطَطًا

আৰু আমি সিহঁতৰ চিত্ত দৃঢ় কৰি দিছিলো; সিহঁতে যেতিয়া (সাৰ পাই) উঠি ক’লে, ‘আমাৰ প্ৰতিপালকেই আকাশসমূহ আৰু পৃথিৱীৰ প্ৰতিপালক। আমি কেতিয়াও তেওঁৰ পৰিবৰ্তে আন কোনো ইলাহক আহ্বান নকৰোঁ; যদি আহ্বান কৰোঁ তেন্তে এয়া হ’ব বৰ গৰ্হিত কথা।

🥀Verse/Notes:

18:14 and endowed their hearts with strength, so that they stood up* and said [to one another]: "Our Sustainer is the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth. Never shall we invoke any deity other than Him: [if we did,] we should indeed have uttered an enormity!

Note*

Lit., "when they stood up" -i.e., stood up to their misguided fellow-men, or to the rulers who persecuted the believers (see note-asad 18:9)(as).

🟩১৮:১৫

هَٰؤُلَاءِ قَوْمُنَا اتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِهِ آلِهَةً ۖ لَوْلَا يَأْتُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِسُلْطَانٍ بَيِّنٍ ۖ فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا

আমাৰ এই স্বজাতিসকলে তেওঁৰ পৰিবৰ্তে বহুতো ইলাহ গ্ৰহণ কৰিছে। ইহঁতে এইবোৰ ইলাহ সম্পৰ্কে স্পষ্ট প্ৰমাণ উপস্থিত নকৰে কিয়? এতেকে যিয়ে আল্লাহ সম্পৰ্কে মিছা উদ্ভাৱন কৰে সেইজনতকৈ ডাঙৰ যালিম আৰুনো কোন হ’ব পাৰে?

🥀Verse/Note:

18:15 “Our people have taken gods other than Him. Why do they not bring forward a clear and convincing evidence in support of what they do? And who does a greater wrong than the one who invents a lie against God?”

Note.

Taken gods other than Him = Obeyed false authorities contradicting Divine Commands(sa).

🟩১৮:১৬

وَإِذِ اعْتَزَلْتُمُوهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُونَ إِلَّا اللَّهَ فَأْوُوا إِلَى الْكَهْفِ يَنْشُرْ لَكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ مِنْ رَحْمَتِهِ وَيُهَيِّئْ لَكُمْ مِنْ أَمْرِكُمْ مِرْفَقًا

এতিয়া যিহেতু তোমালোকে সিহঁতৰ পৰা আৰু সিহঁতে যিবোৰৰ ইবাদত কৰে সেইবোৰৰ পৰা বিচ্ছিন্ন হৈছা, সেয়ে এতিয়া তোমালোকে গুহাত আশ্ৰয় গ্ৰহণ কৰা। তোমালোকৰ প্ৰতিপালকে তোমালোকৰ বাবে তেওঁৰ ৰহমত বিস্তাৰ কৰিব আৰু তোমালোকৰ বাবে তোমালোকৰ জীৱনোপকৰণৰ বিষয়টো সহজ কৰি দিব।

🥀Verse/Note:(The Sleepers of Ephesus)

18:16 "Since you wish to avoid them, and their worshipping of other than GOD*, let us take refuge in the cave. May your Lord shower you with His mercy and direct you to the right decision."

Ephesus is located about 200 miles south of ancient Nicene, and 30 miles south of today's Izmir in Turkey. The dwellersof the cave were young Christians who wanted to follow the teachings of Jesus,and worship God alone. They were fleeing the persecution of neo-christianswho proclaimed a corrupted Christianity three centuries after Jesus, followingthe Nicene Conferences, when the Trinity doctrine was announced. In 1928, Franz Miltner, an Austrian archeologist discovered the tomb of the sevensleepers of Ephesus. Their history is well documented in severalencyclopedias(rk).

۞ وَتَرَى الشَّمْسَ إِذَا طَلَعَتْ تَزَاوَرُ عَنْ كَهْفِهِمْ ذَاتَ الْيَمِينِ وَإِذَا غَرَبَتْ تَقْرِضُهُمْ ذَاتَ الشِّمَالِ وَهُمْ فِي فَجْوَةٍ مِنْهُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ ۗ مَنْ يَهْدِ اللَّهُ فَهُوَ الْمُهْتَدِ ۖ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلْ فَلَنْ تَجِدَ لَهُ وَلِيًّا مُرْشِدًا

আৰু তুমি সিহঁতক দেখাহেঁতেন, সূৰ্য উদয় হোৱাৰ সময়ত সিহঁতৰ গুহাৰ সোঁফালে ঢাল খায় আৰু অস্ত যোৱাৰ সময়ত সিহঁতক অতিক্ৰম কৰি বাওঁফালে ঢাল খায়, অথচ সিহঁতে গুহাৰ প্ৰশস্ত চোতালত (শুই আছে), এইবোৰ আল্লাহৰ নিদৰ্শনসমূহৰ# মাজত অন্যতম। আল্লাহে যাক সৎপথত পৰিচালিত কৰে, সি সৎপথপ্ৰাপ্ত আৰু তেওঁ যাক পথভ্ৰষ্ট কৰে, তুমি কেতিয়াও তাৰ বাবে কোনো পথনিৰ্দেশকাৰী অভিভাৱক বিচাৰি নাপাবা।

১৮:৯

أَمْ حَسِبْتَ أَنَّ أَصْحَابَ الْكَهْفِ وَالرَّقِيمِ كَانُوا مِنْ آيَاتِنَا عَجَبًا

তুমি কাহাফ (গুহা) আৰু ৰাক্বীমৰ অধিবাসীসকলক আমাৰ নিদৰ্শনাৱলীৰ মাজত বিস্ময়কৰ বুলি ভাবা নেকি?

🥀Verse/Note:

18:17 And [for many a year] thou might have seen the sun, on its rising, incline away from their cave on the right, and, on its setting, turn aside from them on the left, while they lived on in that spacious chamber,* [bearing witness to] this of God's messages: He whom God guides, he alone has found the right way; whereas for him whom He lets go astray thou canst never find any protector who would point out the right way.

Note*

Lit., "while they were in a broad cleft thereof". The cave evidently opened to the north, so that the heat of the sun never disturbed them: and this, It is an echo of the many Qur'anic allusions to the happiness of the righteous in paradise, symbolized by its "everlasting shade" (see, in particular, surah 4:57, note*, on the metaphorical use of the term zill in the sense of "happiness")(as).

(৪:৫৭

وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ سَنُدْخِلُهُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا ۖ لَهُمْ فِيهَا أَزْوَاجٌ مُطَهَّرَةٌ ۖ وَنُدْخِلُهُمْ ظِلًّا ظَلِيلًا

আৰু যিসকলে ঈমান আনিছে আৰু নেক আমল কৰিছে, অতি শীঘ্ৰে আমি সিহঁতক এনেকুৱা জান্নাতত প্ৰৱেশ কৰাম, যাৰ তলত নিজৰাসমূহ প্ৰবাহিত; তাত সিহঁত চিৰস্থায়ী হ’ব, তাত সিহঁতৰ বাবে পৱিত্ৰ স্ত্ৰী থাকিব আৰু সিহঁতক আমি বিস্তৃত ঘন ছাঁত আশ্ৰয় দান কৰিম।

Note*

The primary meaning of zill is "shade", and so the expression zill zalil could be rendered as "most shading shade"- i.e., "dense shade". However, in ancient Arabic usage, the word zill denotes also "a covering" or "a shelter" and, figuratively, "protection" ; and, finally, "a state of ease, pleasure and plenty" , or simply "happiness" - and in the combination of zill zalil, "abundant happiness"  - which seems to agree best with the allegorical implications of the term "paradise".)

WORD BY WORD MEANING:

[18:13] We (Nah'nu) narrate (Naqussu) to you (s) (Ålai'ka) their news (Naba'a-hum) in truth (Bil' Haqqi). 

Indeed, they (Innahum) were young men (Fit'yatun) who believed (Aamanu') in (Bi) their LORD (Rabbi-

him), and (Wa) We increased them (Zid'naa-hum) in guidance (Hudaa).

[18:14] And (Wa) We united (Rabat'naa Ålaa) their hearts (Quluubi-him) when (Iz') they stood up (Qaamu')

and (Fa) said (Qaalu'), "Our Lord (Rabbu-naa) is the LORD (Rabbu) of the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and the 

earth (Wal' Ar'di). We will never (Lan) call (Nad'uwa')

any god (ilaaha) besides HIM (Min Duuni-hi). We 

would have certainly (Laqad') then (Izan) stated (Qul'naa) excess (Shatotoa). 

[18:15] "These (Haaulaai), our people (Qaw'mu-naa) have taken (Ettakhazu') gods (Aalihatan) besides HIM 

(Min Duuni-hi). Why do they not (Law' Laa) bring (Ya'tuuna Bi) a clear (Bayyinin) authority (Sul'toani) for 

them (Ålai'him)? So who (Faman) is more unjust (Az'lamu) than one who (Mimmani) fabricates (Ef'taraa)

falsehood (Kaziba) about GOD (Ålaallahi)?

[18:16] "And (Wa) when (Izi) you have dissociated from them (E'tazal'tumuu-hum) and what (Wamaa)

they worship (Ya'buduuna) other than GOD (illallaha), then retire (Fa'wu') to (ilaa) the cave (El'Kah'fi), your 

LORD (Rabbu-kum) will spread (Yanshur') of (Min) HIS mercy (Rah'mati-hi) for you (Lakum) and (Wa) will 

prepare (Yuhayyi') convenience (Mir'faqa) for you (Lakum) from (Min') your affair (Am'ri-kum)."

[18:17] And (Wa) you could see (Taraa) the sun (Es'Sham'sa) when (Izaa) it rose (Tolaåt), inclining 

(Tazaawaru) away from (Ån) their cave (Kah'fi-him) by (Zaata) the right side (El'Yamiini), and (Wa) when 

(Izaa) it departed (Garabat) wearing away from them (Taq'ridu-hum’) by (Zaata) the left side (Es'Shimaali), 

while (Wa) they (Hum') were within (Fii) a gap (Faj'watin) from it (Min'hu); that (Zaalika) was among (Min')

the signs of GOD (18:9) (Aayaati-llahi). Whoever (Man) GOD guides (Yah'di-llahu), then (Fa) he (Huwa) is the 

guided (El'Muh'tadi), but (Wa) whoever (Man) HE sends astray (Yud'lil), then (Fa) you can never (Lan) find 

(Tajida) a guardian (Waliyyan) instructor (Mur'shidaa) for him (Lahu).
