🟧১৫:৪৫

إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ

নিশ্চয় মুত্তাক্বীসকল থাকিব জান্নাতত আৰু প্ৰস্ৰৱণসমূহৰ মাজত।

📍Verse/Note:

(15:45-48) On the other hand, the Muttaqeen will dwell in gardens with fountains. They shall be greeted: Enter you in peace and security. We shall remove from their bosoms every rancour lurking therein. They will sit together on couches face to face as brothers to each other. No weariness shall 

come upon them and they shall never be ousted therefrom (7/43)pz.

🟧১৫:৪৬

ادْخُلُوهَا بِسَلَامٍ آمِنِينَ

তেওঁলোকক কোৱা হ’ব, ‘তোমালোকে শান্তি আৰু নিৰাপত্তাৰ সৈতে ইয়াত প্ৰৱেশ কৰা’।

🟧১৫:৪৭

وَنَزَعْنَا مَا فِي صُدُورِهِمْ مِنْ غِلٍّ إِخْوَانًا عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مُتَقَابِلِينَ

আৰু আমি তেওঁলোকৰ অন্তৰৰ পৰা হিংসা বিদ্বেষ আঁতৰাই দিম; তেওঁলোকে ভাতৃৰ দৰে পৰস্পৰে ইজনে সিজনৰ সন্মুখৰ আসনত অৱস্থান কৰিব,

15:47 And We shall remove from their hearts any sense of jealousy, rancor, rivalry and bitterness. And they shall rest as brothers and sisters, facing one another, on thrones of happiness.

لَا يَمَسُّهُمْ فِيهَا نَصَبٌ وَمَا هُمْ مِنْهَا بِمُخْرَجِينَ

তাত তেওঁলোকক অৱসাদে (ক্লান্তিয়ে) স্পৰ্শ নকৰিব আৰু তাৰ পৰা তেওঁলোকক বহিষ্কৃতও কৰা নহ’ব।

۞ نَبِّئْ عِبَادِي أَنِّي أَنَا الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ

মোৰ বান্দাসকলক জনাই দিয়া যে, নিশ্চয় মই পৰম ক্ষমাশীল, পৰম দয়ালু,

(49-51) O Rasool! announce this glad tiding to My devotees that I am Ghafoor and I am Raheemand for those who defy My Laws there is severe chastisement - such as overtook the people of Lot [*2] , the story of which begins with the guests of Abraham (11/69)(pz).

🟧১৫:৫০

وَأَنَّ عَذَابِي هُوَ الْعَذَابُ الْأَلِيمُ

আৰু নিশ্চয় মোৰ শাস্তিয়েই হৈছে যন্ত্ৰণাদায়ক শাস্তি!

📍Verse/Note:

15:50 and [also,] that the suffering which I shall impose [on sinners] will indeed be a suffering most grievous.

Note.

In his commentary on the above two verses, the statement relating to God's forgiveness and grace contains a threefold emphasis-expressed by the repetition of the personal pronoun ana relating to God, and the definite article al before each of the two participial adjectives - whereas there is no such stress in the mention of His chastisement of recalcitrant sinners. (Cf. 6:12--as well as 6:54, both of which verses state that God "has willed upon Himself the law of grace and mercy".)(as).

وَنَبِّئْهُمْ عَنْ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ

আৰু তুমি সিহঁতক জনাই দিয়া, ইব্ৰাহীমৰ অতিথিসকলৰ কথা,

15:51 AND TELL THEM [once again] about Abraham's guests.

Note.

For a more detailed story of Abraham and the heavenly messengers, see verses 69-76 of Surah 11 (Hud), which was revealed shortly before the present one. The connection between this story and the preceding stress on God's grace arises from Abraham's saying (in verse 56), "And who-other than those who have utterly lost their way-could ever lose the hope of his Sustainer's grace?" Similarly, the subsequent references (in verses 58-84) to the sinful communities that were destroyed because they refused to heed the warnings of their prophets are, obviously, meant to illustrate the reverse of God's grace, namely, His inevitable chastisement of deliberate, unrepented sinning (verse 50 above)(as).

إِذْ دَخَلُوا عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا سَلَامًا قَالَ إِنَّا مِنْكُمْ وَجِلُونَ

যেতিয়া তেওঁলোকে তেওঁৰ ওচৰত উপস্থিত হৈ ক’লে, ‘ছালাম’, তেতিয়া তেওঁ ক’লে, ‘নিশ্চয় আমি আপোনালোকৰ বিষয়ে শংকিত’।

قَالُوا لَا تَوْجَلْ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَامٍ عَلِيمٍ

তেওঁলোকে ক’লে, ‘ভয় নকিৰব, আমি আপোনাক এজন জ্ঞানী পুত্ৰৰ সুসংবাদ দিবলৈহে আহিছো’।

আৰু আমি তেওঁক ইছহাক্বৰ সুসংবাদ দিছিলো, তেওঁ আছিল এজন নবী, সৎকৰ্মশীলসকলৰ অন্যতম।

🟧১৫:৫৪

قَالَ أَبَشَّرْتُمُونِي عَلَىٰ أَنْ مَسَّنِيَ الْكِبَرُ فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُونَ

তেওঁ ক’লে, ‘বাৰ্দ্ধক্যই স্পৰ্শ কৰা সত্বেও আপোনালোকে মোক (সন্তান লাভৰ) সুসংবাদ দিছে? এতেকে আপোনালোকে কিহৰ (কেনেকৈ) সুসংবাদ দি আছে’?

🟧১৫:৫৫

قَالُوا بَشَّرْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ فَلَا تَكُنْ مِنَ الْقَانِطِينَ

তেওঁলোকে ক’লে, ‘আমি সত্য সুসংবাদ দিছো; এতেকে আপুনি নিৰাশ নহ’ব’।

🟧১৫:৫৬

قَالَ وَمَنْ يَقْنَطُ مِنْ رَحْمَةِ رَبِّهِ إِلَّا الضَّالُّونَ

তেওঁ ক’লে, ‘পথভ্ৰষ্টসকলৰ বাহিৰে নিজ প্ৰতিপালকৰ ৰহমতৰ পৰা কোনেনো নিৰাশ হয়’?

15:56 He said, "Who would deny the mercy of his Lord except the misguided ones!"

(15:56-57) He said: Only those who have gone astray, get into a state of despair; how can I be despair of Allah s Rahmat?. What I said was a normal human reaction to what you said, and not a denial of Allah s Rahmat (2/260). Now tell me on what mission you have been sent(pz).

🟧১৫:৫৭

قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا الْمُرْسَلُونَ

তেওঁ ক’লে, ‘হে প্ৰেৰিত (ফিৰিস্তা)সকল! আপোনালোকৰ আৰু কিবা বিশেষ উদ্দেশ্য আছে নেকি’?

🟧১৫:৫৮

قَالُوا إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ مُجْرِمِينَ

তেওঁলোকে ক’লে, ‘নিশ্চয় আমাক এটা অপৰাধী সম্প্ৰদায়ৰ ওচৰলৈ প্ৰেৰণ কৰা হৈছে---

🟧১৫:৫৯

إِلَّا آلَ لُوطٍ إِنَّا لَمُنَجُّوهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

কিন্তু লূতৰ পৰিয়ালৰ বিৰুদ্ধে নহয়, নিশ্চয় আমি তেওঁলোক আটাইকে ৰক্ষা কৰিম,

🟧১৫:৬০

إِلَّا امْرَأَتَهُ قَدَّرْنَا ۙ إِنَّهَا لَمِنَ الْغَابِرِينَ

কেৱল তেওঁৰ স্ত্ৰীৰ বাহিৰে; আমি সিদ্ধান্ত লৈছো যে, নিশ্চয় তাই পিছত অৱস্থানকাৰীসকলৰ অন্তৰ্ভুক্ত’।

15:60 excepting only his wife, [of whom God says,] `We have ordained [that], behold, she should be among those who stay behind!'

Note.

See 7:83 , as well as 11:81 and 66:10. The interpolation of the words "of whom God says" is necessitated by the elliptic use of the verb gaddarna - which, in the sense of "We have ordained" or "decreed", is an act attributed in the Qur'an invariably, and exclusively, to God. As I have repeatedly pointed out in my notes, God's "ordaining" a sinner to commit a sin or His "decreeing" that he should remain deaf to the voice of truth is a metonym for the natural law instituted by Him, which has been explained in surah 2:7; it refers also, generally speaking, to God's absolute fore-knowledge of how any of His creatures will act in a given situation. See on 11:34 on 14:4(as).

🟧১৫:৬১(Lot and the Aggressive of the Homosexuals).

فَلَمَّا جَاءَ آلَ لُوطٍ الْمُرْسَلُونَ

তাৰ পিছত ফিৰিস্তাসকল যেতিয়া লূত পৰিয়ালৰ ওচৰত আহিল,

🟧১৫:৬২

قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ قَوْمٌ مُنْكَرُونَ

তেতিয়া লূতে ক’লে, ‘আপোনালোক দেখোন অপৰিচিত’।

.

📍Verse/Note:

15:62 he said: "Behold, you are people unknown [here] !"

Note.

Implying that they might be assaulted by the sinful people of his town: cf. 11:77(as).

🟧১৫:৬৩

قَالُوا بَلْ جِئْنَاكَ بِمَا كَانُوا فِيهِ يَمْتَرُونَ

তেওঁলোকে ক’লে, ‘নহয়, বৰং আমি আপোনাৰ ওচৰলৈ সেইটোৱে লৈ আহিছো যি বিষয়ে সিহঁতে সন্দেহ পোষণ কৰিছিল’;

📍Verse/Note:

15:63 They answered: "Nay, but we have come unto thee with [the announcement of] something that they [who are given to evil] have always been wont to call in question,

Note.

Lit., "that about which they have persistently been (kanu) in doubt"-i.e., the doom which, in this world or in the hereafter, is the inevitable consequence of deliberate sinning: a prediction which the sinners themselves so often deride (cf. 6:57, 8:32, 11:8). This sentence constitutes the reason for the repetition, in this surah, of the stories of Lot's people and the other sinful communities of old that were punished for their persistent transgressions against all moral laws(as).

(15:63-65) They said: Yes, but we have brought for you the news of that catastrophe about which your opponents were doubtful. That will certainly happen and We speak the truth. Depart from here permanently in the dead of night. Send your people ahead and follow in the rear (11/81) and do not look back but just pass on and proceed to the place where you have been commanded(pz).

وَأَتَيْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ وَإِنَّا لَصَادِقُونَ

‘আৰু আমি আপোনাৰ ওচৰত সত্য সংবাদ লৈ আহিছো আৰু নিশ্চয় আমি সত্যবাদী’;

🟧১৫:৬৫

فَأَسْرِ بِأَهْلِكَ بِقِطْعٍ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَاتَّبِعْ أَدْبَارَهُمْ وَلَا يَلْتَفِتْ مِنْكُمْ أَحَدٌ وَامْضُوا حَيْثُ تُؤْمَرُونَ

‘এতেকে আপুনি ৰাতিৰ কোনো এটা ভাগত আপোনাৰ পৰিয়ালবৰ্গক লৈ ওলাই যাওঁক, আৰু আপুনি সিহঁতৰ পিছে পিছে গৈ থাকিব। আপোনালোকৰ কোনেও যাতে পিছলৈ ঘূৰি নাচায়; আপোনালোকক য’লৈকে যোৱাৰ আদেশ কৰা হৈছে তালৈকে গুচি যাওঁক’।

قَالُوا يَا لُوطُ إِنَّا رُسُلُ رَبِّكَ لَنْ يَصِلُوا إِلَيْكَ ۖ فَأَسْرِ بِأَهْلِكَ بِقِطْعٍ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَلَا يَلْتَفِتْ مِنْكُمْ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا امْرَأَتَكَ ۖ إِنَّهُ مُصِيبُهَا مَا أَصَابَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ مَوْعِدَهُمُ الصُّبْحُ ۚ أَلَيْسَ الصُّبْحُ بِقَرِيبٍ

তেওঁলোকে (ফিৰিস্তাসকলে) ক’লে, ‘হে লূত! নিশ্চয় আমি আপোনাৰ প্ৰতিপালকৰ প্ৰেৰিত ফিৰিস্তা। সিহঁতে কেতিয়াও আপোনাৰ ওচৰলৈকে আহিব নোৱাৰিব। গতিকে আপুনি ৰাতিৰ কোনো এটা ভাগত আপোনাৰ পৰিয়ালবৰ্গসহ ওলাই যাওঁক আৰু আপোনালোকৰ মাজৰ কোনেও পিছফালে ঘূৰি নাচাব কেৱল আপোনাৰ স্ত্ৰীৰ বাহিৰে। সিহঁতৰ লগত যি সংঘটিত হ’ব তাইৰ লগতো সেয়া ঘটিব। নিশ্চয় প্ৰভাত হৈছে সিহঁতৰ বাবে নিৰ্ধাৰিত সময়। প্ৰভাত অতি সন্নিকট নহয়নে বাৰু’?

وَقَضَيْنَا إِلَيْهِ ذَٰلِكَ الْأَمْرَ أَنَّ دَابِرَ هَٰؤُلَاءِ مَقْطُوعٌ مُصْبِحِينَ

আৰু আমি তেওঁক এই বিষয়ে ফয়চালা জনাই দিলো যে, নিশ্চয় সিহঁতক উষাৰ লগে লগে সমূলি বিনাশ কৰা হ’ব।

🟧১৫:৬৭

وَجَاءَ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ

আৰু নগৰবাসী উল্লাসিত হৈ উপস্থিত হ’ল।

15:67 And the people of the city came [unto Lot], rejoicing at the glad tiding(as).

🟧১৫:৬৮

قَالَ إِنَّ هَٰؤُلَاءِ ضَيْفِي فَلَا تَفْضَحُونِ

তেওঁ ক’লে, ‘নিশ্চয় এওঁলোক মোৰ অতিথি; এতেকে তোমালোকে মোক অপমান নকৰিবা’।

🟧১৫:৬৯

وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَلَا تُخْزُونِ

‘তোমালোকে আল্লাহৰ তাক্বৱা অৱলম্বন কৰা আৰু মোক লাঞ্ছিত নকৰিবা’।

🟧১৫:৭০

قَالُوا أَوَلَمْ نَنْهَكَ عَنِ الْعَالَمِينَ

সিহঁতে ক’লে, ‘আমি পৃথিৱীৰ (যিকোনো) লোকক আশ্ৰয় দিবলৈ তোমাক নিষেধ কৰা নাছিলো নে’?

📍Verse/Note:

15:70 They answered: "Have we not forbidden thee [to offer protection] to any kind of people?"(as).

Note.

Lit., "all people" (al-'alamin): obviously, because Lot was a stranger in Sodom-having come there from Mesopotamia, his and Abraham's country of origin (see surah 11:70)-and had previously aroused the ire of the Sodomites by his moral reproaches (cf. 7:80).

🟧১৫:৭১

قَالَ هَٰؤُلَاءِ بَنَاتِي إِنْ كُنْتُمْ فَاعِلِينَ

লূতে ক’লে, ‘যদি তোমালোকে কিবা কৰিবই বিচৰা তেন্তে মোৰ এই ছোৱালীবোৰ আছে (বিবাহৰ মাধ্যমত বৈধ উপায়ে কৰা)’।

📍Verse/Note:

15:71 He said, "Here are my daughters if you are going to act."

Note.

Did prophet Lot mean his own daughters or the daughters in his town? Regardless, he was reminding them to follow God's design, rather than choosing a lifestyle that contradicts it. The distorted Bible contains many false accusations against prophets. For instance, it depicts Lot as a drunkard who committed incest with his daughters (Genesis 19:30-38 )(edip).

[15:45] Indeed (Inna), the pious (El'Muttaqiina) will be in (Fii) gardens (Jannaatin) with (Wa) springs (spring 

water) (Uyuun). 

[15:46] "Enter it (Ed'khuluu-haa) in (Bi) peace (Salaamin) and security (Aaminiin)."

[15:47] And (Wa) We will remove (Naza'naa) what (Maa) is in (Fii) their bosoms (Suduuri-him) of (Min')

rancour (Gillin) as brethren (Ikh'waanan), on (Ålaa) alternating (Mutaqaabiliin) couches (Sururin).

[15:48] No (Laa) exhaustion (Nasabun) will touch them (Yamassu-hum') therein (Fiihaa), nor (Wamaa Bi)

will they (Hum) be ousted (Mukh'rajiin) from it (Min'haa). 

[15:49] “Inform (Nabbi') MY servants (Ebaadii) that (Annii) I am (Anaa) the FORGIVING (El' Gafuuru), the 

MERCIFUL (Er' Rahiim). 

[15:50] “And (Wa) that (Anna) MY punishment (Åzaabii) is (Huwa) a painful (El'Aliim) punishment 

(El'Åzaabu).”

[15:51] And (Wa) inform them (Nabbi'hum) about (Ån) the guests (Doi'fi) of Abraham (Ib'raahiim),

[15:52] when (Iz') they entered (Dakhalu') to him (Ålai'hi) and (Fa) said (Qaalu'), "Peace (Salaaman)." He 

(Abraham) said (Qaala), "Indeed, we (Innaa) are afraid (Wajiluun) of you (Minkum')."

[15:53] They (the guests) said (Qaalu'), "Do not (Laa) be afraid (Taw'jal'). Indeed (Innaa), we give you good news

(Nubasshiru-ka) of (Bi) an erudite (Åliim) boy (Gulaamin)." 

(37:112)

[15:54] He (Abraham) said (Qaala), "Do you give me good news (A'basshir'tumuunii) even though (Ålaa An) old 

age (El'Kibaru) has touched me (Massaniya)? And for what (Fabima) do you make announcement 

(Tubasshiruun)? 

[15:55] They (the guests) said (Qaalu'), "We have given you good news (Basshar'naa-ka) in truth (Bil' Haqqi), so 

(Fa) do not (Laa) be of (Mina) the despaired (despondent) (El'Qaanitiin)." 

[15:56] He (Abraham) said (Qaala), "And (Wa) who (Man) despairs (Yaq'natu) of (Min) the mercy (Rah'mati) of 

his LORD (Rabbi-hi) if not (illa) the strayers (Ed'Doalluun)?" 

[15:57] He (Abraham) said (Qaala), "So (Fa) what (Maa) is your affair (Khat'bu-kum'), O you (Ayyuhaa)

messengers (El'Mur'saluun)?"

[15:58] They said (Qaaluu'), "Indeed (Innaa), We have been sent (Ur'sil'naa) to (ilaa) a criminal (Muj'rimiin)

people (Qaw'min),

[15:59] except (illa) the family (Aala) of Lot (Luutin); indeed (Innaa), we will (La) rescue them (Munajjuu-

hum') all (Aj'maeen),

[15:60] but (illa) his wife (Em'ra'ata-hu); We have destined (Qaddar'naa) that she (Innahaa) will be among

(Lamina) those passed away (El'Gaabiriin)." 

[15:61] And (Fa) when (Lammaa) the messengers (El'Mur'saluun) came (Jaa'a) to the family (Aala) of Lot 

(Luutin), 

[15:62] he (Lot) said (Qaala), "Indeed, you (Innakum') are a strange (Munkaruun) people (Qaw'mun)." 

[15:63] They (the messengers) said (Qaalu'), "In fact (Bal'), We have brought you (Ji'naa-ka Bi) what (Maa) they 

have been (Kaanu') disputing (Yam'taruun) about (Fiihi).

[15:64] "And (Wa) We have brought you (Atai'naa-ka Bi) the truth (El'Haqqi); for (Wa) indeed, we (Innaa)

are (La) truthful (Soadiquun). 

[15:65] "So (Fa) travel with (As'ri Bi) your family (Ah'li-ka) in (Bi) a portion (Qit'en) of (Mina) the night 

(Ellai'li) and (Wa) follow (Ettabi') behind them (Ad'baara-hum) and (Wa) let (Yal') none (Laa Ahadun) of you 

(Minkum') turn around (-tafit'), but (Wa) continue (Em'du') to where (Hai'thu) you are commanded 

(Tu'maruun)." 

[15:66] So (Wa) We issued (Qadoi'naa) that (Zaalika) to him (ilai'hi) of the command (El'Am'ra) that (Anna)

the root (Daabira) of these people (Haaulaai) will be severed (Maq'tuu'un) early in the morning (Mus'bihiin). 

[15:67] And (Wa) the people (Ah'lu) of the city (El'Madiinati) came (Jaa'a) rejoicing (Yas'tab'shiruun).

[15:68] He (Lot) said (Qaala), "Indeed (Inna), these people (Haaulaai) are my guests (Doi'fii); so (Fa) do not (Laa)

disgrace me (Taf'dohuuni).

[15:69] "So (Wa) beware of GOD (Ettaqu'llaha) and (Wa) do not (Laa) humiliate me (Tukh'zuuni)."

[15:70] They (p)said (Qaaluu'), "Did we not (Awalam') forbid you (s) (Nan'ha-ka) from (Åni) all people 

(El'Åålamiin)?"

[15:71] He (Lot) said (Qaala), "These (Haaulaai) are my daughters (Banaatii), if (In) you would (Kuntum') react

(Faaeliin)."
