Chapter 14: Ibrahim — Abraham ( 7 sections, 52 verses)
Introduction:
This chapter is named after Abraham, whose prayer is mentioned in verses 35–41. It explains that the work of the Quran is to lead people out of darkness into light, but that previous prophets too, such as Moses, had their message rejected at first. However, in all cases the opposition failed and God’s promise to help the prophet was fulfilled. Truth is confirmed and man brings about his own ruin by rejecting it. Then Abraham’s prayer for the right guidance of his descendants is mentioned and we are told that opposition to the truth will always end in failure.

الر ۚ كِتَابٌ أَنْزَلْنَاهُ إِلَيْكَ لِتُخْرِجَ النَّاسَ مِنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَمِيدِ
আলিফ-লাম-ৰা✔️, এইটো এখন কিতাব, আমি ইয়াক তোমাৰ প্ৰতি অৱতীৰ্ণ কৰিছো, যাতে তুমি মানুহক সিহঁতৰ প্ৰতিপালকৰ অনুমতিক্ৰমে অন্ধকাৰৰ পৰা পোহৰলৈ উলিয়াই💥 আনিব পাৰা, সেই সত্তাৰ পথৰ পিনে যিজন পৰাক্ৰমশালী, সৰ্বপ্ৰশংসিত।

14:1 A.L.R. Alif–Laam–Ra (Allah, Lateef the Unfathomable, Raaziq the Provider, states that), A Divine Writ this is that We have revealed to you
(O Prophet) so that you may bring forth all mankind, by their Lord’s
leave, out of darkness into light. On to the way that leads to the Almighty, the Owner of all praise. [14:5, 33:43]

তেৱেঁই নিজ বান্দাৰ প্ৰতি সুস্পষ্ট আয়াতসমূহ অৱতীৰ্ণ কৰে, তোমালোকক অন্ধকাৰৰ পৰা পোহৰলৈ আনাৰ বাবে; আৰু নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ তোমালোকৰ প্ৰতি কৰুণাময়, পৰম দয়ালু।

اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ وَوَيْلٌ لِلْكَافِرِينَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ شَدِيدٍ
সেই আল্লাহৰ পথত, যিজন আকাশসমূহ আৰু পৃথিৱীৰ সকলো বস্তুৰেই গৰাকী, আৰু কাফিৰসকলৰ বাবে আছে কঠিন শাস্তিৰ দুৰ্ভোগ,

قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلَيْكُمْ جَمِيعًا الَّذِي لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ ۖ فَآمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ النَّبِيِّ الْأُمِّيِّ الَّذِي يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَكَلِمَاتِهِ وَاتَّبِعُوهُ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ
কোৱা, ‘হে মানৱ! নিশ্চয় মই তোমালোক সকলোৰে প্ৰতি আল্লাহৰ ৰাছুল, যিজন আকাশসমূহ আৰু পৃথিৱীৰ সাৰ্বভৌমত্বৰ অধিকাৰী। তেওঁৰ বাহিৰে আন কোনো সত্য ইলাহ নাই; তেৱেঁই জীৱন দান কৰে আৰু তেৱেঁই মৃত্যু ঘটায়। সেয়ে তোমালোকে ঈমান আনা আল্লাহৰ প্ৰতি আৰু তেওঁৰ ৰাছুল উম্মী নবীৰ প্ৰতি যিজনে আল্লাহ আৰু তেওঁৰ বাণীসমূহত ঈমান পোষণ কৰে; আৰু তোমালোকে তেওঁৰ অনুসৰণ কৰা যাতে তোমালোকে হিদায়ত প্ৰাপ্ত হোৱা’।

🕋১৪:৩
الَّذِينَ يَسْتَحِبُّونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا عَلَى الْآخِرَةِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَيَبْغُونَهَا عِوَجًا ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ فِي ضَلَالٍ بَعِيدٍ
যিসকলে পাৰ্থিৱ জীৱক আখিৰাততকৈ অধিক ভালপায় আৰু মানুহক আল্লাহৰ পথৰ পৰা বিৰত ৰাখে, আৰু তাত বক্ৰতা সন্ধান কৰে; সিহঁতেই ঘোৰ বিভ্ৰান্তিত নিপতিত।

وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ رَسُولٍ إِلَّا بِلِسَانِ قَوْمِهِ لِيُبَيِّنَ لَهُمْ ۖ فَيُضِلُّ اللَّهُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۚ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ
আৰু আমি প্ৰতিজন ৰাছুলক তেওঁৰ স্ব-জাতিৰ ভাষাতেই প্ৰেৰণ কৰিছো, যাতে তেওঁ সিহঁতৰ ওচৰত স্পষ্টৰূপে ব্যাখ্যা কৰিব পাৰে, তাৰ পিছতো আল্লাহে যাক ইচ্ছা বিভ্ৰান্ত🥦 কৰে আৰু যাক ইচ্ছা💠 সৎপথত পৰিচালিত কৰে আৰু তেওঁ পৰাক্ৰমশালী, প্ৰজ্ঞাময়।(see 7:158 above 14:2).

🕋১৪:৫(Story of Musa and His People).
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ بِآيَاتِنَا أَنْ أَخْرِجْ قَوْمَكَ مِنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ وَذَكِّرْهُمْ بِأَيَّامِ اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِكُلِّ صَبَّارٍ شَكُورٍ
আৰু অৱশ্যে আমি মুছাক আমাৰ নিদৰ্শনসহ প্ৰেৰণ কৰিছিলো আৰু কৈছিলো, ‘তোমাৰ সম্প্ৰদায়ক অন্ধকাৰৰ পৰা পোহৰলৈ লৈ আহা, আৰু সিহঁতক আল্লাহৰ দিনবোৰৰ (অৰ্থাৎ বিভিন্ন সম্প্ৰদায়ৰ শাস্তিৰ দিনবোৰৰ) দ্বাৰা উপদেশ দিয়া’। ইয়াত নিদৰ্শন আছে প্ৰত্যেক পৰম ধৈৰ্যশীল আৰু পৰম কৃতজ্ঞ ব্যক্তিৰ বাবে।

14:5 (Moses spoke the language of his people.) We sent him with Our
Messages, saying, "Bring your people from darkness to light and remind
them of the Days of God. There are lessons in the history of nations for
those who are steadfast in their resolve to rise, and want their efforts to
be be fruitful.

” [Days of God = When people establish “the Kingdom of God” on earth. 45:14. Shukr or gratefulness is not just the verbal
proclamation of 'Thank God!' It pertains to sharing the God-given bounties with others. It also means ‘efforts bearing fruit’](as).
(the frequent Qur'anic application of the word "day" to eschatological concepts -e.g., the "Last Day", the "Day of Resurrection", the "Day of Reckoning", and so forth-and, particularly, in view of 45:14, where the expression "the Days of God" unmistakably points to His judgment at the end of time).

قُلْ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يَغْفِرُوا لِلَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ أَيَّامَ اللَّهِ لِيَجْزِيَ قَوْمًا بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
যিসকলে ঈমান আনিছে তেওঁলোকক কোৱা, তেওঁলোকে যেন সিহঁতক ক্ষমা কৰি দিয়ে, যিসকলে আল্লাহৰ দিনবোৰৰ প্ৰত্যাশা নকৰে। যাতে আল্লাহে নিজেই প্ৰত্যেক সম্প্ৰদায়ক সিহঁতৰ কৃতকৰ্মৰ বাবে প্ৰতিদান দিয়ে।)

وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوْمِهِ اذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ أَنْجَاكُمْ مِنْ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ يَسُومُونَكُمْ سُوءَ الْعَذَابِ وَيُذَبِّحُونَ أَبْنَاءَكُمْ وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ نِسَاءَكُمْ ۚ وَفِي ذَٰلِكُمْ بَلَاءٌ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ عَظِيمٌ
আৰু স্মৰণ কৰা, যেতিয়া মুছাই তেওঁৰ সম্প্ৰদায়ক কৈছিল, ‘আল্লাহে তোমালোকৰ ওপৰত কৰা অনুগ্ৰহবোৰ স্মৰণ কৰা, যেতিয়া তেওঁ তোমালোকক ৰক্ষা কৰিছিল ফিৰআউন গোষ্ঠীৰ কবলৰ পৰা, যিসকলে তোমালোকক নিকৃষ্ট শাস্তি প্ৰদান কৰিছিল, তোমালোকৰ পুত্ৰ সন্তানক জবেহ কৰিছিল আৰু তোমালোকৰ নাৰীসকলক জীৱিত ৰাখিছিল; আৰু ইয়াত আছিল তোমাৰ প্ৰতিপালকৰ তৰফৰ পৰা এটা মহাপৰীক্ষা’।

14:6 And, lo(*) Moses spoke [thus] unto his people: "Remember the blessings which God bestowed upon you when He saved you from Pharaoh's people who afflicted you with cruel suffering, and slaughtered your sons, and spared [only] your women(**) -which was an awesome trial from your Sustainer(as).

وَإِذْ نَجَّيْنَاكُمْ مِنْ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ يَسُومُونَكُمْ سُوءَ الْعَذَابِ يُذَبِّحُونَ أَبْنَاءَكُمْ وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ نِسَاءَكُمْ ۚ وَفِي ذَٰلِكُمْ بَلَاءٌ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ عَظِيمٌ
আৰু স্মৰণ কৰা, যেতিয়া আমি তোমালোকক ফিৰআউনৰ বংশৰ পৰা ৰক্ষা কৰিছিলো। সিহঁতে তোমালোকক বৰ কঠিন শাস্তি দিছিল। তোমালোকৰ পুত্ৰ সন্তানক হত্যা কৰিছিল আৰু কন্যা সন্তানক জীয়াই ৰাখিছিল । আৰু ইয়াত আছিল তোমালোকৰ বাবে তোমালোকৰ প্ৰতিপালকৰ পৰা এক মহা পৰীক্ষা।
Note:
In addition to killing the newborn boys, as a matter of state policy, Pharaoh humiliated the strong and left the vulnerable for slavery and shameful acts. Abna = Sons = Strong ones. Nisaa = Females = Women = Weak ones. Yastahyoon carries the connotation of ‘letting live’ as well as ‘in shame’. Yasoomoon = Selecting, choosing. This is what a tyrannical system does 7:141, 27:34, 28:4, 40:25, (Exodus 1:15-22) . Balaaun: Turn of events. Wa fi zalikum points to saving mentioned early in the verse).

وَقَطَّعْنَاهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ أُمَمًا ۖ مِنْهُمُ الصَّالِحُونَ وَمِنْهُمْ دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ ۖ وَبَلَوْنَاهُمْ بِالْحَسَنَاتِ وَالسَّيِّئَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ
আৰু আমি সিহঁতক পৃথিৱীত বিভিন্ন দলত বিভক্ত কৰিছো, সিহঁতৰ কিছুমান সৎকৰ্মপৰায়ণ আৰু কিছুমান অন্য ধৰণৰ। আমি সিহঁতক মঙ্গল আৰু অমঙ্গলৰ দ্বাৰা পৰীক্ষা কৰিছো, যাতে সিহঁতে প্ৰত্যাৱৰ্তন কৰে।

وَإِذْ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمْ لَئِنْ شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ ۖ وَلَئِنْ كَفَرْتُمْ إِنَّ عَذَابِي لَشَدِيدٌ
আৰু স্মৰণ কৰা, যেতিয়া তোমাৰ প্ৰতিপালকে ঘোষণা কৰিছিল, যদি তোমালোক কৃতজ্ঞ হোৱা তেন্তে অৱশ্যে মই তোমালোকক আৰু অধিক প্ৰদান কৰিম, আৰু অকৃতজ্ঞ হ'লে নিশ্চয় মোৰ শাস্তি অতি কঠোৰ।

وَإِذْ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكَ لَيَبْعَثَنَّ عَلَيْهِمْ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ مَنْ يَسُومُهُمْ سُوءَ الْعَذَابِ ۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَسَرِيعُ الْعِقَابِ ۖ وَإِنَّهُ لَغَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
আৰু স্মৰণ কৰা, যেতিয়া তোমাৰ প্ৰতিপালকে ঘোষণা কৰিলে যে, নিশ্চয় তেওঁ কিয়ামত পৰ্যন্ত সিহঁতৰ ওপৰত এনেকুৱা কিছুমান লোকক পঠাব, যিসকলে সিহঁতক কঠিন শাস্তি দি থাকিব। নিশ্চয় তোমাৰ প্ৰতিপালক শাস্তি দানত তৎপৰ আৰু নিশ্চয় তেওঁ ক্ষমাশীল, পৰম দয়ালু।

وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰ إِنْ تَكْفُرُوا أَنْتُمْ وَمَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَغَنِيٌّ حَمِيدٌ
আৰু মুছাই কৈছিল, ‘তোমালোকে আৰু পৃথিৱীৰ সকলোৱে যদি অকৃতজ্ঞ হোৱা, তথাপিও নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ অভাৱমুক্ত, সৰ্বপ্ৰশংসিত’।

৩৯:৭
إِنْ تَكْفُرُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَنِيٌّ عَنْكُمْ ۖ وَلَا يَرْضَىٰ لِعِبَادِهِ الْكُفْرَ ۖ وَإِنْ تَشْكُرُوا يَرْضَهُ لَكُمْ ۗ وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَىٰ ۗ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمْ مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَيُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ۚ إِنَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ
যদি তোমালোকে কুফৰী কৰা তেন্তে (জানি থোৱা) আল্লাহ তোমালোকৰ মুখাপেক্ষী নহয়। তেওঁ নিজ বান্দাসকলৰ বাবে কুফৰী পছন্দ নকৰে, আৰু যদি তোমালোকে কৃতজ্ঞ হোৱা তেন্তে তেওঁ তোমালোকৰ বাবে এয়া পছন্দ কৰে। কোনো বোজা বহনকাৰীয়েই আনৰ বোজা বহন নকৰিব। তাৰ পিছত তোমালোকৰ প্ৰতিপালকৰ ওচৰতেই তোমালোকৰ প্ৰত্যাৱৰ্তন। তেতিয়া তোমালোকে যি আমল কৰিছিলা সেয়া তেওঁ তোমালোকক অৱহিত কৰিব। নিশ্চয় অন্তৰত যি আছে সেই বিষয়ে তেওঁ সম্যক অৱগত।

৬৪:৬
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُ كَانَتْ تَأْتِيهِمْ رُسُلُهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَقَالُوا أَبَشَرٌ يَهْدُونَنَا فَكَفَرُوا وَتَوَلَّوْا ۚ وَاسْتَغْنَى اللَّهُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ غَنِيٌّ حَمِيدٌ
এয়া এইবাবেই যে, সিহঁতৰ ওচৰত সিহঁতৰ ৰাছুলসকলে সুস্পষ্ট প্ৰমাণাদিসহ আহিছিল অথচ সিহঁতে কৈছিল, ‘মানুহেই আমাক পথৰ সন্ধান দিব নেকি’? তাৰ পিছত সিহঁতে কুফৰী কৰিলে আৰু মুখ ঘূৰাই ল’লে; আৰু আল্লাহেও (সিহঁতৰ ঈমানৰ বিষয়ে) ভ্ৰূক্ষেপ নকৰিলে; আৰু আল্লাহ অভাৱমুক্ত, সপ্ৰশংসিত।

In the name of GOD (Bis'mi-llahi), the GRACIOUS (Er' Rah'maani), the MERCIFUL (Er' Rahiim).
[14:1] A (Alif), L (Laam), R (Ra); A book (Kitaabun) which We have revealed (Anzal'naa-hu) to you (s)
(ilai'ka) in order to (Li) bring (Tukh'rija) the people (En'Naasa) out of (Mina) darknesses (Ez'Zulumaati)
into (ilaa) the light (En'Nuuri), by (Bi) the permission (Iz'ni) of their LORD (Rabbi-him) to (ilaa) the path
(Siraati) of the ALMIGHTY (El' Åziizi), the PRAISEWORTHY (El' Hamiid).
(57:9)
[14:2] GOD (Ellahi) is the One (Ellazii) to whom belongs (Lahu) whatever (Maa) is in (Fii) the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and whatever (Wamaa) is on earth (Fiil' Ar'di). And (Wa) woe (Wai'lun) to the disbelievers
(Lil' Kaafiriina) of (Min’) a severe (Shadiid) punishment (Åzaabin).
[14:3] The ones who (Ellaziina) prefer (Yas'tahibbuuna) the worldly (Ed'Dun'yaa) life (El'Hayaata) over (Åla)
the hereafter (El'Aakhirati) and (Wa) are repelling (Yasudduuna) from (Ån) the way of GOD (Sabiili-llahi)
while (Wa) seeking to make it (Yab'guunaha) crooked (Ewajan). Those (U'laaika) are in (Fii) distant (Baeed)
error (Dolaali).
[14:4] And (Wa) We do not (Maa) send (Ar'sal'na) a (Min) messenger (10:47) (Rasuulin) except (illa) in (Bi) the
language (tongue) (Lisaani) of his people (Qaw'mi-hi) in order to (Li) clarify (Yubayyina) to them (Lahum),
then (Fa) GOD sends astray (Yudillu-llahu) whomever (Man) HE wills (Yashaau) and (Wa) guides (Yah'dii)
whomever (Man) HE wills (Yashaa'u). And (Wa) HE (Huwa) is the ALMIGHTY (El' Åziizu), the WISE (El' Hakiim).
[14:5] And (Wa) certainly (Laqad') We sent (Ar'sal'naa) Moses (Muusaa) with (Bi) Our signs (Aayaati-naa)
that (An'), "Bring (Akh'rij) your people (Qaw'ma-ka) out of (Mina) darknesses (Ez'Zulumaati) into (ilaa) the
light (En'Nuuri) and (Wa) remind them (Zakkir'hum) of (Bi) the days of GOD (Ayyaami-llahi).” Indeed
(Inna), there are (La) signs (Aayaatin) in (Fii) that (Zaalika) for (Li) all (Kulli) who are patient (Sobbaarin) and
grateful (Shakuur).
[14:6] And (Wa) when (Iz') Moses (Muusaa) said to (Qaala Li) his people (Qaw'mi-hi), "Remember (Ez'kuru')
the blessing of GOD (Ni'mata-llahi) upon you (Ålai'kum), when (Iz') HE rescued you (Anjaa-kum) from
(Min') the people (Aali) of Pharaoh (Fir'åw'na), who were inflicting on you (Yasuumuuna-kum) an evil
(Suuw'a) punishment (El'Åzaabi) while (Wa) slaughtering (Yuzabbihuuna) your sons (Ab'naa'a-kum) and
