🟦৮:৩২

وَإِذْ قَالُوا اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ كَانَ هَٰذَا هُوَ الْحَقَّ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ فَأَمْطِرْ عَلَيْنَا حِجَارَةً مِنَ السَّمَاءِ أَوِ ائْتِنَا بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ

আৰু স্মৰণ কৰা, যেতিয়া সিহঁতে কৈছিল, ‘হে আল্লাহ! এইবোৰ যদি তোমাৰ ফালৰ পৰা সঁচাই সত্য হয় তেন্তে আমাৰ ওপৰত তুমি শিলা-বৃষ্টি বৰ্ষণ কৰা অথবা আমাৰ ওপৰত কোনো যন্ত্ৰণাদায়ক শাস্তি লৈ আহা’।

[8:32] And (Wa) then (Iz') they said (Qaalu'), "O God (Ellahumma), if (In) this (Haaza) is (Kaana) the truth

(Huwal' Haqqa) from YOU (Min' Endi-ka), then (Fa) shower (Am'tir') upon us (Ålai'na) stones (Hijaaratan)

from (Mina) the sky (Es'Samaai) or (Awi) bring us (E'ti-na Bi) a painful (Aliim) punishment (Åzaabin)."

🟦৮:৩৩(Forgiveness).

وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَأَنْتَ فِيهِمْ ۚ وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ مُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَهُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ

আল্লাহ এনেকুৱা নহয় যে, তুমি সিহঁতৰ মাজত থকা অৱস্থাত তেওঁ সিহঁতক শাস্তি দিব; লগতে আল্লাহৰ নীতি এইটোও নহয় যে, সিহঁতে আল্লাহৰ ওচৰত ক্ষমা প্ৰাৰ্থনা কৰি থাকিব আৰু আল্লাহে সিহঁতক শাস্তি দিব।

[8:33] And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is (Kaana) not (Maa) to (Li) punish them (Yuåzziba-hum) while (Wa) you (s)

(Anta) are among them (Fiihim’), and (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is (Kaana) not (Maa) to punish them (Muåzziba-

hum) while (Wa) they (Hum) are seeking forgiveness (Yas'tag'firuun).

🟦৮:৩৪

وَمَا لَهُمْ أَلَّا يُعَذِّبَهُمُ اللَّهُ وَهُمْ يَصُدُّونَ عَنِ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَمَا كَانُوا أَوْلِيَاءَهُ ۚ إِنْ أَوْلِيَاؤُهُ إِلَّا الْمُتَّقُونَ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

সিহঁতৰ কি হ’ল, কিয় আল্লাহে সিহঁতক শাস্তি নিদিব? অথচ সিহঁতে মানুহক মছজিদুল হাৰামৰ পৰা নিবৃত্ত কৰিছে; আনকি সিহঁত সেই মছজিদৰ অভিভাৱকো নহয়; ইয়াৰ অভিভাৱক হৈছে কেৱল মুত্তাক্বীসকল; কিন্তু সিহঁতৰ অধিকাংশই (এই কথা) নাজানে।

[8:34] But (Wa) why (Maa Lahum) should GOD (Ellahu) not (Alla) punish them (Yuåzziba-humu) while 

(Wa) they (Hum) are repelling (Yusudduuna) from (Åni) the Sacred Mosque (El'Mas'jidil' Haraami) and they 

were (Kaanuu') not (Maa) its guardians (custodians) (Aw'liyaa'a-hu)? Its guardians (Aw'liyaau-hu) are only (In'

illa) those who are pious (El'Muttaquuna), but (Walaakinna) most of them (Ak'thara-hum’) do not (Laa)

know (Ya'lamuun).

📍Asad Note:

At the time of the Quran revelation Mecca was still in the possession of the hostile Quraysh, and no Muslim was allowed to enter it. Owing to their descent from Abraham, the Quraysh considered themselves entitled to the guardianship of the Ka`bah ("the Inviolable House of Worship"), which had been built by Abraham as the first temple ever dedicated to the One God (see surah 2:125). The Qur'an refutes this contention, just as it refutes the claim of the children of Israel to being "the chosen people" by virtue of their descent from Abraham. (Cf. in this connection 2:124, and especially the last sentence, "My covenant does not embrace the wrongdoers.") Although they still retained a modicum of belief in God, the Quraysh had entirely forsaken the unitarian faith of Abraham, thus forfeiting any moral claim to the guardianship of the Temple (al-bayt) built by him.

🟦৮:৩৫[Meccan Polytheists Were Formally Following Abraham's Practices)(The Prayers (Salat) Existed Before the Quran].

وَمَا كَانَ صَلَاتُهُمْ عِنْدَ الْبَيْتِ إِلَّا مُكَاءً وَتَصْدِيَةً ۚ فَذُوقُوا الْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ

আৰু কাবা ঘৰৰ ওচৰত সিহঁতৰ উপাসনা উৰুলি আৰু হাত তালিৰ বাহিৰে আন একো নহয়। গতিকে তোমালোকে শাস্তি ভোগ কৰা, কাৰণ তোমালোকে কুফৰী কৰিছিলা।

[8:35] And (Wa) their prayer (Solaatu-hum’) at (Enda) the House (mosque) (El'Bai'ti) was (Kaana) only (Maa illa)

singing (Mukaa'an) and (Wa) clapping (Tas'diyatan). So (Fa) taste (Zuuqu') the punishment (El'Åzaaba) for 

what (Bimaa) you have been (Kuntum') disbelieving (Tak'furuun).

8:35 Their prayer(salat) at the sanctuary was nothing but deception/noise and aversion. Taste the retribution for what you have rejected.

🟦৮:৩৬

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُنْفِقُونَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ لِيَصُدُّوا عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۚ فَسَيُنْفِقُونَهَا ثُمَّ تَكُونُ عَلَيْهِمْ حَسْرَةً ثُمَّ يُغْلَبُونَ ۗ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ يُحْشَرُونَ

নিশ্চয় যিসকলে কুফৰী কৰিছে, সিহঁতে আল্লাহৰ পথৰ পৰা মানুহক নিবৃত্ত কৰিবলৈ সিহঁতৰ ধন-সম্পদ ব্যয় কৰে, অচিৰেই সিহঁতে সেয়া ব্যয় কৰিব, তাৰ পিছত সেয়া সিহঁতৰ মনস্তাপৰ কাৰণ হ’ব; ইয়াৰ পিছত সিহঁতে পৰাভূত হ’ব; আৰু যিসকলে কুফৰী কৰিছে সিহঁতক জাহান্নামত একত্ৰিত কৰা হ’ব।

[8:36] Indeed (Inna), those who (Ellaziina) disbelieve (Kafaru') spend (Yunfiquuna) their wealth (Am'waala-

hum) in order to (Li) repel from (Yasuddu Ån) the way of GOD (Sabiili-llahi); thus (Fa) will they spend it 

(Sa Yunfiquuna-haa); thence (Thumma) it will be (Takuunu) a heartbreak (Has'ratan) for them (Ålai'him), 

and then (Thumma) they will be defeated (Yug'labuuna). And (Wa) those who (Ellaziina) disbelieved 

(Kafaruu') will be assembled (Yuh'sharuun) to (ilaa) Hell (Jahannama),

📍Verse/Note:

(36-37) These Kafireen expend their wealth to turn people aside from Allah s path. Let them 

continue to do so. But when they are eventually overcome, they will be full of woe at the loss of 

their wealth. They will all be driven towards Jahannam in order that Allah might separate the 

worthless from the worthy; and of the worthless join everyone with his like, then collecting them all 

turn them towards Jahannam. These are the who will be the losers.

🟦৮:৩৭

لِيَمِيزَ اللَّهُ الْخَبِيثَ مِنَ الطَّيِّبِ وَيَجْعَلَ الْخَبِيثَ بَعْضَهُ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ فَيَرْكُمَهُ جَمِيعًا فَيَجْعَلَهُ فِي جَهَنَّمَ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ

যাতে আল্লাহে অপৱিত্ৰবোৰক পৱিত্ৰসকলৰ পৰা পৃথক কৰিব পাৰে। তেওঁ অপৱিত্ৰবোৰক এটাৰ পিছত আনটোক ৰাখি সকলোবোৰ স্তূপ কৰিব, তাৰ পিছত সেয়া জাহান্নামত নিক্ষেপ কৰিব। সিহঁতেই ক্ষতিগ্ৰস্ত।

[8:37] so that (Li) GOD will distinguish (Yamiiza-llahu) the bad (El'Khabiitha) from (Mina) the good 

(Ettoyyibi) and (Wa) place (Yaj'åla) the bad ones (El'Khabiitha) on top of each other (Ba'do-hu Ålaa Ba'din) and 

(Fa) amass them (Yar'kuma-hu) all together (Jamiiån) and then (Fa) put them (Yaj'åla-hu) into (Fii) Hell 

(Jahannama). Those (U'laaika) are (Humu) the losers (El'Khaasiruun).

🟦৮:৩৮

قُلْ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِنْ يَنْتَهُوا يُغْفَرْ لَهُمْ مَا قَدْ سَلَفَ وَإِنْ يَعُودُوا فَقَدْ مَضَتْ سُنَّتُ الْأَوَّلِينَ

যিসকলে কুফৰী কৰিছে সিহঁতক কোৱা, ‘যদি সিহঁতে (কুফৰী) পৰিহাৰ কৰে তেন্তে আগতে যি হৈছে সেয়া আল্লাহে ক্ষমা কৰিব; কিন্তু সিহঁতে যদি অন্যায়ৰ পুনৰাবৃত্তি কৰে তেন্তে পুৰ্বৱৰ্তীসকলৰ ৰীতিতো জানাই (সিহঁতৰ কি পৰিণতি হৈছিল)’।

[8:38] Tell (Qul) those who (Lillaziina) have disbelieved (Kafaruu') if (In) they refrain (Yantahu'), what 

(Maa) they have (Qad') done previously (Salafa) will be forgiven (Yag'far') for them (Lahum), but (Wa) if 

(In) they repeat (Yauudu'), then (Fa) the tradition (Sunnatu) of the predecessors (El'Awwaliin) has (Qad')continued (Madot').

🟦৮:৩৯

وَقَاتِلُوهُمْ حَتَّىٰ لَا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ وَيَكُونَ الدِّينُ كُلُّهُ لِلَّهِ ۚ فَإِنِ انْتَهَوْا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ

আৰু তোমালোকে ফিতনাৰ অৱসান নঘটালৈকে সিহঁতৰ বিৰুদ্ধে সংগ্ৰাম কৰি থাকিবা আৰু দ্বীন পূৰ্ণৰূপে কেৱল আল্লাহৰ বাবে নোহোৱালৈকে। তাৰ পিছত যদি সিহঁতে বিৰত থাকে তেন্তে সিহঁতে যি কৰে সেই বিষয়ে আল্লাহ সম্যক দ্ৰষ্টা।

[8:39] And (Wa) fight them (Qaatiluu-hum) until (Hattaa) there is (Takuuna) no (Laa) riot (Fit'natun), and 

(Wa) the entire (Kulluhu) religion (Ed'Diinu) should be (Yakuuna) for GOD (Lillahi). And (Fa) if (Ini) they 

desist (Entahaw'), then (Fa) indeed, GOD (Innallaha) is cognizant (Basiiru) of what (Bimaa) they do (Ya'maluun).

📍Verse/Note:

(39-40) O Jama at-ul-Momineen, if they do not desist, you will have no alternative but to fight till 

fitna ceases and there is complete freedom of belief for all. (2/193). If they desist, Allah will take 

note of what they do thereafter. (Therefore, you should seek no recourse against them.) If they 

violate their commitment then rest assured that Allah will protect you. He is indeed an excellent 

Protector and Helper(pz).

🟦৮:৪০

وَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ مَوْلَاكُمْ ۚ نِعْمَ الْمَوْلَىٰ وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيرُ

আৰু যদি সিহঁতে মুখ ঘূৰাই লয় তেন্তে জানি থোৱা, আল্লাহেই তোমালোকৰ অভিভাৱক, তেওঁ কিমান যে উত্তম অভিভাৱক আৰু কিমান যে উত্তম সহায়কাৰী।

[8:40] But (Wa) if (In) they turn away (Tawallaw'), then (Fa) know (E'lamuu') that GOD (Annallaha) is your 

guardian (master) (Maw'laa-kum’); a wonderful (Ni'ma) Guardian (El'Maw'laa) and (Wa) a wonderful (Ni'ma)

Helper (En'Nasiir).

لَا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا ۚ لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَعَلَيْهَا مَا اكْتَسَبَتْ ۗ رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِنْ نَسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَا إِصْرًا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِ ۖ وَاعْفُ عَنَّا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا ۚ أَنْتَ مَوْلَانَا فَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ

আল্লাহে কাকো তাৰ সামৰ্থৰ বাহিৰত কোনো দায়িত্ব নিদিয়ে। যিয়ে ভাল উপাৰ্জন কৰিছে ইয়াৰ প্ৰতিফল তাৰ বাবেই, আৰু যিয়ে বেয়া উপাৰ্জন কৰিছে ইয়াৰ প্ৰতিফল সি নিজেই ভোগ কৰিব। হে আমাৰ প্ৰতিপালক! যদি আমি বিস্মৃত হওঁ অথবা ভুল কৰো তেন্তে তুমি আমাক সোধ-পোচ নকৰিবা। হে আমাৰ প্ৰতিপালক! আমাৰ পূৰ্বৱৰ্তীসকলৰ ওপৰত যেনেকৈ তুমি বোজা অৰ্পণ কৰিছিলা আমাৰ ওপৰত তেনেকুৱা বোজা অৰ্পণ নকৰিবা। হে আমাৰ প্ৰতিপালক! তুমি আমাক এনেকুৱা বোজা বহন নকৰাবা যিটো বহন কৰাৰ সামৰ্থ আমাৰ নাই; আৰু তুমি আমাৰ পাপ মোচন কৰি দিয়া, আমাক ক্ষমা কৰি দিয়া, আমাৰ প্ৰতি দয়া কৰা, তুমিয়েই আমাৰ অভিভাৱক। এতেকে কাফিৰ সম্প্ৰদায়ৰ বিৰুদ্ধে আমাক সহায় কৰা।
