🔴৪:৩৪(Do Not Beat Your Wife).
الرِّجَالُ قَوَّامُونَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ بِمَا فَضَّلَ اللَّهُ بَعْضَهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ وَبِمَا أَنْفَقُوا مِنْ أَمْوَالِهِمْ ۚ فَالصَّالِحَاتُ قَانِتَاتٌ حَافِظَاتٌ لِلْغَيْبِ بِمَا حَفِظَ اللَّهُ ۚ وَاللَّاتِي تَخَافُونَ نُشُوزَهُنَّ فَعِظُوهُنَّ وَاهْجُرُوهُنَّ فِي الْمَضَاجِعِ وَاضْرِبُوهُنَّ ۖ فَإِنْ أَطَعْنَكُمْ فَلَا تَبْغُوا عَلَيْهِنَّ سَبِيلًا ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيًّا كَبِيرًا
পুৰুষসকল নাৰীসকলৰ @তত্ত্বাৱধায়ক, কাৰণ আল্লাহে সিহঁতৰ এজনক আনজনৰ ওপৰত শ্ৰেষ্ঠত্ব দিছে আৰু এইবাবেও যে, পুৰুষসকলে নিজৰ ধন-সম্পদ ব্যয় কৰে। সেয়ে পুণ্যশীলা স্ত্ৰীসকল অনুগতা আৰু লোকচকুৰ অন্তৰালতো সেইবোৰ বিষয় সংৰক্ষণ কৰে যিবোৰ আল্লাহে সংৰক্ষণ কৰিছে; আৰু তোমালোকে স্ত্ৰীসকলৰ মাজত যিসকলৰ অবাধ্যতাৰ আশংকা কৰা সিহঁতক সদুপদেশ দিয়া, আৰু সিহঁতৰ শয্যা বৰ্জন কৰা লগতে সিহঁতক প্ৰহাৰ কৰা। যদি সিহঁতে তোমালোকৰ অনুগত হয় তেন্তে সিহঁতৰ বিৰুদ্ধে কোনো পথ অন্বেষণ নকৰিবা। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ শ্ৰেষ্ঠ, মহান।

[4:34] Men (Er'Rijaalu) are guardians (Qawwaamuuna) over (Ålaa) women (En'Nisaai) because of (Bimaa)
the favour of GOD (Faddola-llahu) over each other (Ba'do-hum Ålaa Ba'din) and (Wa) because of what (Bimaa) they spend (Anfaqu') from (Min') their wealth (Am'waali-him’). Thus (Fa) the righteous women (Es'Soalihaatu) will obediently (Qaanitaatun) guard (Haafizoatun) in their absence (Lil' Gai'bi) by what (Bimaa)
GOD maintains (Hafizo-llahu). As for (Wa) those whom (Ellatii) you fear (Takhaafuuna) their discord (f) (Nushuuza-hunna), then (Fa) admonish them 1 📍(Ezuu-hunna), and then (Fa) abandon them (Eh'juruu-
hunna) in (Fii) beds 2📍 (El'Madoajie) and (Wa) renounce them 3📍 (Ed'ribuu-hunna); but (Fa) if (In') they obey you (p) (Ato'na-kum’), then do not (Falaa) seek (Tab'gu') a way (Sabiila) against them (f) (Ålaihinna). Indeed,
GOD (Innallaha) is (Kaana) Supreme (Aliyyan) and Magnificient (Kabiiraa).

@This expression simply means that God is appointing the husband as "captain of the ship." Marriage is like a ship, and the captain runs it afterdue consultation with his officers. A believing wife readily accepts God'sappointment, without mutiny(rk).

🔴৪:৩৫(Marriage Arbitration).
وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ شِقَاقَ بَيْنِهِمَا فَابْعَثُوا حَكَمًا مِنْ أَهْلِهِ وَحَكَمًا مِنْ أَهْلِهَا إِنْ يُرِيدَا إِصْلَاحًا يُوَفِّقِ اللَّهُ بَيْنَهُمَا ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا خَبِيرًا
আৰু যদি তোমালোকে সিহঁত উভয়ৰ মাজত বিৰোধ আশংকা কৰা তেন্তে তোমালোকে স্বামীৰ পৰিয়ালৰ পৰা এজন আৰু স্ত্ৰীৰ পৰিয়ালৰ পৰা এজন বিচাৰক নিযুক্ত কৰা; সিহঁত উভয়ে যদি নিষ্পত্তি বিচাৰে তেন্তে আল্লাহে সিহঁতৰ মাজত মীমাংসাৰ অনুকূল অৱস্থা সৃষ্টি কৰি দিব। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ সৰ্বজ্ঞ, সবিশেষ অৱহিত।

[4:35] And (Wa) if (In') you fear (Khif'tum) dissension (Shiqaaqa) between them both (the married couple)
(Bai'nahimaa), then (Fa) send (Eb'åthu') an arbitrator (Hakaman) from (Min') his family (Ah'li-hi) and (Wa)
an arbitrator (Hakaman) from (Min') her family (Ah'li-haa). If (In) they intend (Yuriidaa) to reconcile
between themselves (Is'laahan Bai'na-humaa), GOD will grant success (Yuwaffiqi-llahu); indeed, GOD
(Innallaha) is (Kaana) Omniscient (Åliiman) and Cognizant (Khabiiraa).

📍Verse/Note-1
4:35 (Families and communities must adopt a proactive approach regarding a husband and a wife in discord.) If you fear a breach between the two of them (husband and wife), appoint two arbiters, one from his family and one from her family. If they decide to reconcile, God will help them get together. Surely, God is Knower, Aware. [2:228-234, 4:3, 4:19, 4:35, 4:128, 33:49, 58:1 65:1-4](sa).

📍Note-2
It is clear that divorce does not occur by some magic words uttered by the husband. Furthermore, woman is mentioned as one of the parties whose wish is equally important in case of divorce. See 2:226. Verse 4:19 clearly recognizes the right of women to divorce(edip).

۞ وَاعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَلَا تُشْرِكُوا بِهِ شَيْئًا ۖ وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانًا وَبِذِي الْقُرْبَىٰ وَالْيَتَامَىٰ وَالْمَسَاكِينِ وَالْجَارِ ذِي الْقُرْبَىٰ وَالْجَارِ الْجُنُبِ وَالصَّاحِبِ بِالْجَنْبِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ وَمَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَنْ كَانَ مُخْتَالًا فَخُورًا
তোমালোকে আল্লাহৰ ইবাদত কৰা, আৰু তেওঁৰ লগত আন কাকো অংশীদাৰ স্থাপন নকৰিবা; লগতে পিতৃ-মাতৃ আৰু আত্মীয়-স্বজন, ইয়াতীম, অভাৱগ্ৰস্ত, নিকট প্ৰতিবেশী, দূৰ-প্ৰতিবেশী, সঙ্গী-সাৰথি, মুছাফিৰ আৰু তোমালোকৰ অধিকাৰভুক্ত দাস-দাসীসকলৰ প্ৰতি সদ্ব্যৱহাৰ কৰা। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহে দাম্ভিক, অহংকাৰীক পছন্দ নকৰে।

[4:36] Worship GOD (E'budu'llaha) and do not (Walaa) associate (Tush'riku') anything (Shai'an) with HIM
(Bihi); and be good to (Ih'saanan Bi) the parents (El'Waalidai'ni), and (Wa) to (Bi) the relatives (Ziil' Qur'baa),
the orphans (El'Yataamaa), the poor people (El'Masaakiini), the neighbours (El'Jaari) of the relatives (Ziil'
Qur'baa), the side neighbours (El'Jaaril' Junubi), the friend (Es'Soahibi) by the side (Bil' Janbi), the wayfarer
(Eb'ni Es'Sabiili) and those (Wamaa) your right hands (Ai'maanu-kum) possess (Malakat'). Indeed, GOD
(Innallaha) does not (Laa) like (Yuhibbu) those who (Man) are (Kaana) arrogant (Mukh'taalan) and proud
(Fakhuuraa),

📍Verse/Note-1
4:36 Obey God and associate no partner with Him. Treat kindly your parents, relatives, the orphans and those who have been left alone in the society. Take care of the needy, the disabled, those whose hard earned income is insufficient to meet their needs, those whose businesses have stalled, and those who have lost their jobs. You shall treat kindly your related neighbors, and unrelated neighbors, companions by your side in public gatherings, or public transportation. Be generous to the needy wayfarer, the homeless son of the street, and the one who reaches you in a destitute condition. Be nice to people who work under your supervision. God does not love those who are proud, the boastful(sa).

Keeping the family ties, cooperation, and humbleness are among the traits recommended by God (2:83; 3:92; 17:22)(edip).

📍Verse/Note-3
4:36 Next, comes the matter of relatives other than spouses. In dealing with them, Allah s Laws must be
adhered to strictly and no man-made Laws should be mixed with them.
According to these Laws, you should do good to:
1. parents,
2. kin-folk,
3. orphans,
4. others in need,
5. neighbours irrespective of whether they are your relatives or not,
6. wayfarers who stand in need of your help and,
7. those in your charge or those who work under you.
Allah does not like those who are proud and boastful(pz).

🔴৪:৩৭
الَّذِينَ يَبْخَلُونَ وَيَأْمُرُونَ النَّاسَ بِالْبُخْلِ وَيَكْتُمُونَ مَا آتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ ۗ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَافِرِينَ عَذَابًا مُهِينًا
যিসকলে কৃপণালি কৰে আৰু মানুহক কৃপণতাৰ নিৰ্দেশ দিয়ে আৰু আল্লাহে নিজ অনুগ্ৰহত সিহঁতক যি প্ৰদান কৰিছে সেয়া গোপন কৰে; আৰু আমি কাফিৰসকলৰ বাবে লাঞ্ছনাদায়ক শাস্তি প্ৰস্তুত কৰি ৰাখিছো।

[4:37] who (Ellaziina) are stingy (Yab'khaluuna) and (Wa) instruct (Ya'muruuna) the people (En'Naasa) to
stinginess (Bil' Bukh'li) and conceal (Yak'tumuuna) what (Maa) GOD (Ellahu) has given them (Aataa-humu)
from (Min) HIS favour (Fad'li-hi). And (Wa) We have prepared (A'tad'na) a humiliating (Muhiinaa)
punishment (Åzaaban) for the disbelievers (Lil' Kaafiriina),

🔴৪:৩৮
وَالَّذِينَ يُنْفِقُونَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ رِئَاءَ النَّاسِ وَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَلَا بِالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ ۗ وَمَنْ يَكُنِ الشَّيْطَانُ لَهُ قَرِينًا فَسَاءَ قَرِينًا
আৰু যিসকলে মানুহক দেখুৱাবলৈ নিজৰ ধন-সম্পদ ব্যয় কৰে লগতে আল্লাহ আৰু শেষ দিৱসৰ প্ৰতি ঈমান পোষণ নকৰে আৰু চয়তান যাৰ সঙ্গী হয়। এতেকে সেই সঙ্গী কিমান যে নিকৃষ্ট!

[4:38] who (Ellaziina) spend (Yunfiquuna) their wealth (Am'waala-hum) to deceive (Riaa’a) the people
(En'Naasi) while (Wa) they do not (Laa) believe (Yu'minuuna) in GOD (Billahi) nor (Walaa) in the Last Day
(Bil' Yaw'mil' Aakhir). And (Wa) whoever (Man) has (Yakuni Lahu) the devil (Es'Shai'toanu) as a companion
(43:36📍) (Qariinan), then (Fa) he is an evil (Saa'a) companion (Qariinaa).

📍Verse/Note:
4:38 They give money to charity only to show off, while disbelieving in GOD and the Last Day. If one's companion is the devil, that is the worst companion(rk).

: "soul-mates" (4:38 ). The verb qarana, from which the noun qarin is derived, signifies "he linked" or "intimately associated" or "yoked together [one thing with another]". 43:36 - "as for anyone who chooses to remain blind to the remembrance of the Most Gracious, to him We assign an [enduring] evil impulse [lit., "a Satan"], to become his other self"(as).

🔴৪:৩৯
وَمَاذَا عَلَيْهِمْ لَوْ آمَنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَأَنْفَقُوا مِمَّا رَزَقَهُمُ اللَّهُ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ بِهِمْ عَلِيمًا
সিহঁতে আল্লাহ আৰু শেষ দিৱসৰ প্ৰতি ঈমান আনিলে আৰু আল্লাহে সিহঁতক যি প্ৰদান কৰিছে তাৰ পৰা ব্যয় কৰিলে সিহঁতৰ কি ক্ষতি হ’লহেঁতেন? আৰু আল্লাহে সিহঁতৰ বিষয়ে সম্যক অৱগত।

[4:39] And (Wa) what (Maaza) would be upon them (Ålai'him) if (Law') they believed (Aamanu') in GOD
(Billahi) and the Last Day (Wal' Yaw'mil' Aakhiri) and disbursed (Anfaqu') from what (Mimmaa) GOD
(Ellahu) has provided them (Razaqa-humu)? And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is (Kaana) aware of them (Åliima Bi-him).

📍Verse/Note:
4:39 And what would they have to fear# if they would but believe in God and the Last Day, and spend [in His way] out of what God has granted them as sustenance - since God has indeed full knowledge of them?

# "what is it that would be upon them". This seems to be a reference to the oft-repeated Qur'anic statement that those who believe in God and live righteously "need have no fear" (la khawf alayhim - lit., "no fear [shall be] upon them")(as).

🔴৪:৪০(Divine Justice).
إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَظْلِمُ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ ۖ وَإِنْ تَكُ حَسَنَةً يُضَاعِفْهَا وَيُؤْتِ مِنْ لَدُنْهُ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا
নিশ্চয় আল্লাহে অণু পৰিমাণো অন্যায় নকৰে আৰু যদি সেয়া কোনো ধৰণৰ পুণ্য হয়, তেওঁ সেইটোক বহুগুণ বৃদ্ধি কৰি দিয়ে আৰু নিজৰ ফালৰ পৰা মহাপ্ৰতিদান প্ৰদান কৰে।

[4:40] Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) does not (Laa) wrong (Yaz'limu)
as much as the weight (Mith'qaala) of an atom
(Zarratin); while (Wa) if (In) there is (Taku) a good deed (Hasanatan), HE multiplies it (Yudoaef'ha) and (Wa)
gives (Yu'ti) a great (Åziimaa) reward (Aj'ran) from HIM (Min Ladun'hu).

4:40 God wrongs not anyone even the weight of an atom; and He multiplies a good deed, and from His Own Presence grants a great reward(sa).

🔴৪:৪১
فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جِئْنَا مِنْ كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ بِشَهِيدٍ وَجِئْنَا بِكَ عَلَىٰ هَٰؤُلَاءِ شَهِيدًا
এতেকে যেতিয়া আমি প্ৰত্যেক উম্মতৰ পৰা এজন সাক্ষী উপস্থিত কৰাম আৰু তোমাক সিহঁতৰ বিৰুদ্ধে সাক্ষীৰূপে উপস্থিত কৰাম তেতিয়া কি অৱস্থা হ’ব?

[4:41] So (Fa) how (Kai'fa)
will it be when (Izaa) We bring (Ji'naa Bi) a witness (Shahiidin) from (Min) every
(Kulli) nation (Ummati), and (Wa) bring you (s) (Ji'naa Bi-ka) as a witness (📍16:89) (Shahiida) against (Ålaa) these
people (Haaulaai)?

4:41 How will it be with them when (on the Resurrection Day) We bring from every community a witness (their Prophet 10:47), and We bring you (O Messenger), a witness among these people (your contemporaries)? [2:143](sa).

🔴৪:৪২
يَوْمَئِذٍ يَوَدُّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَعَصَوُا الرَّسُولَ لَوْ تُسَوَّىٰ بِهِمُ الْأَرْضُ وَلَا يَكْتُمُونَ اللَّهَ حَدِيثًا
যিসকলে কুফৰী কৰিছে আৰু ৰাছুলৰ অবাধ্য হৈছে সিহঁতে সেইদিনা কামনা কৰিব, সিহঁতে যদি মাটিৰ লগত মিলি সমান হৈ গ’লহেঁতেন! আৰু সিহঁতে আল্লাহৰ পৰা কোনো কথাই গোপন কৰিব নোৱাৰিব।

[4:42] On that day (Yaw'maizin), those who (Ellaziina) disbelieved (Kafaru') and (Wa) disobeyed (Åsowu')
the Messenger (Er'Rasuula) will wish (Yawaddu Law') the earth (El'Ar'du) could raze them (Tusawwaa Bi-
himu), and (Wa) no (Laa) discourse (Hadiithaa) will be concealed from GOD (Yak'tumuuna-llaha).
