POINTS TO BE NOTED:Part-59(3:112-117)
3:110-117(THE BEST AND THE WORST COMMUNITIES).

3:113[Righteous Jews and Nazarenes(Christians)].
3:114[The righteous (Es'Soalihiin)(acts of collective good. It is they who enrich the society, increase human potential and these are among the righteous).
3:115(Muttaqeen = Those who walk on a secure path-see note).
3:116[Those who have disbelieved (Kafaru') will never be availed by their wealth nor their children].
.
.
[3:112] Humiliation (Ez'Zillatu) has covered them (Duribat' Ålai'himu) wherever (Ai'na) they (Maa) are
apprehended (Thuqifuu'), except (illa) by (Bi) the rope (Hab'lin) from GOD (Minallahi) and (Wa) a rope
(Hab'lin) from (Mina) the people (En'Naasi). And (Wa) they have brought in (Baa'uu Bi) wrath (Gadobin)
from GOD (Minallahi) and (Wa) poverty (El'Mas'kanatu) has covered them (Duribat' Ålai'himu). That
(Zaalika) is because (Bi'anna-hum') they were (Kaanu') disbelieving (Yak'furuuna) in (Bi) the verses of GOD
(Aayaati-llahi) and (Wa) killing (Yaq'tuluuna) the prophets (El'Anbiyaa'a) without (Bi-Gairi) right (Haqqin).
That (Zaalika) is for what (Bimaa) they disobeyed (Åsow') and (Wa) were (Kaanu') trespassing (Ya'taduun).
.
📍Verse/Note:
3:112- Don t you see what a life of misery and ignominy are they living? They have no abode in
this world and no shelter, except that when, someone considering them Ahl-ul-Kit ab, gave them
shelter or they have some pact with some people otherwise they have incurred the wrath of Allah
and continue to remain overshadowed by humiliation. This is because they have persistently denied
the truth of Allah s Message and transgressed to the extent that they even killed the Anbia unjustly.
All this: because they rebelled and went beyond all limits!(pz).
.
📍Note-2
3:112-The above passage - as the very similar one in 2:61⛱️ - relates specifically to the children of Israel , although this section as a whole (verses 110-115) obviously refers to the followers of the Bible in general, that is, to both the Jews and the Christians(as).
(⛱️see  Note: LOGONNOTE)
.
[Righteous Jews and Nazarenes(Christians)]
.
[3:113] They are not (Lai'su') equal (Sawaa'); among (Min') the People of the Book (Ah'lil' Kitaabi) is a nation
(group of people) (Ummatun) who stand (Qaa'imatun) reciting (Yat'luuna) the verses of GOD (Aayaati-llahi)
during (Anaa'a) the night (Ellai'li) and (Wa) they (Hum') prostrate (Yas'juduun).
.
📍Verse/Note-1
.
"an upright community": a reference to those among the followers of the Bible who are truly believers (cf. the last sentence of verse 110 above) and observe the "bond with God and with men" (verse 112)(as).
.
📍Verse/Note-2
3:113-115 This does not mean that the Jewish people as a whole have lost the capability of adopting
the right path. There are some amongst them who have accepted Islam and then rehearse Allah s
Message during the night. They believe in Allah and the Hereafter and enjoin what the Quran
recognises to be right and forbid what it considers to be wrong. They strive eagerly for the good of
humanity. These are the ones who will be called the S aliheen, whatever good they do shall by no
means go unacknowledged. Allah is well-aware of the Muttaqeen(pz).
.
.
[3:114] They believe (Yu'minuuna) in GOD (Billahi) and (Wa) the Last Day (El'Yaw'mil' Aakhiri), they call
for (Ya'muruuna Bi) kindness (El'Ma'ruufi) and forbid (Yan'haw'na Åni) abomination (El'Munkari), and (Wa)
they hasten (Yusaari'uuna) in (Fii) good deeds (El'Khai'raati). And (Wa) those (U'laaika) are among (Mina) the
righteous (Es'Soalihiin).
.
📍Verse/Note:
3:114 They have conviction in God and the Last Day. They advocate virtue by example, and forbid all vice by example. They race with one another in acts of collective good. It is they who enrich the society, increase human potential and these are among the righteous.
.
Saaliheenembraces all three meanings given in the last sentence(sa).
.
.
[3:115] And (Wa) whatever (Maa) they do (Yaf'ålu') of (Min') good (Khai'rin), then (Fa) it (-hu) will never
(Lan) be revoked (Yuk'faruu-). For (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is aware of (Åliimu Bi) the pious (El'Muttaqiin).
.
📍Verse/Note:
3:115 Of the good they do, nothing will be rejected from them. God is Aware of those who live a life upright.
.
Muttaqeen = Those who walk on a secure path = Those who seek to journey through life in security = The observant = Those who live upright. See Taqwa2:41(sa).
(see 2:41 note: https://muktabulraf.blogspot.com/2021/10/241-notes.html?m=1).
.
.
[3:116] Indeed (Inna), those who (Ellaziina) have disbelieved (Kafaru') will never (Lan) be availed by
(Tug'niya Ån'hum') their wealth (Am'waalu-hum') nor (Walaa) their children (Aw'laadu-hum) against GOD
(Minallahi) at all (Shai'an). For (Wa) those (U'laaika) are the companions (As'haabu) of the Fire (En'Naari),
they (Hum') will be therein (Fiiha) eternally (Khaaliduun).
.
📍Verse/Note:
3:116 Indeed, those who reject the truth and thus choose to live in the darkness of ignorance, neither their wealth nor their children will avail them in the least against (the inevitable consequences of violating the laws of) God. They are the dwellers of the fire, abiding therein.
.
Reward and punishment are built-in as the logical consequence of actions e.g. disuse of muscles causes them to atrophy. God does not punish people like human tyrants, out of rage or vengeance 3:182, 4:111,  20:15,  7:147, 27:90(sa).
.
.
[3:117] The example (Mathalu) of what (Maa) they spend (Yunfiquuna) in (Fii) this (Haazihi) worldly
(Ed'Dun'ya) life (El'Hayaati) is like (Ka) the example (Mathali) of a wind (Riihin) wherein (Fiiha) there is severe cold (Sirrun) striking (Asoabat') the cultivation (Har'tha) of a people (Qaw'min) who have wronged
(Zolamuu') themselves (Anfusa-hum') and (Fa) destroys it (Ah'lakat'hu). For (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) did not (Maa)
wrong them (Zolama-humu), but (Walaakin') they were wronging (Yaz'limuun) themselves (Anfusa-hum').
.
📍Verse/Note-1
3:117 The example of what they spend on the life of this world is that of an icy wind which destroys the harvest of people who have wronged themselves. God is not unjust to them, but it is they who wrong their own ‘self’(sa).
.
📍Verse/Note-2
3:117 The parable of what they spend on the life of this world is that of an icy wind which smites the tilth of people who have sinned against themselves, and destroys it: for, it is not God who does them wrong, but it is they who are wronging themselves.
.
It can be explained this parable thus: "If the 'tilth' [i.e., the gainful achievement] of those who deny the truth is lost, it is lost in its entirety, with nothing remaining to them in this world and in the life to come; while, on the other hand, the 'tilth' of a believer is never lost in its entirety: for even if it is seemingly lost, there remains to him the expectation of a reward, in the life to come, for his patience in adversity." In other words, the above Qur'anic phrase is meant to stress the completeness of loss of all efforts in the case of those who are bent on denying the truth(as).
